Exposure to traumatic war events may lead a reduction in quality of life for many years. Research suggests that these impairments be associated with posttraumatic stress symptoms; however, wars also have profound impact on social conditions. Systematic studies utilising subjective (SQOL) measures are particularly rare and research post-conflict settings is scarce. Whether factors independently affect SQOL after addition symptoms has not been explored large scale studies. Background Pain and mental health concerns are prevalent among veterans. While the majority of research has focused on chronic pain as an entity, there been little work directed towards investigating role neuropathic in relation to psychological comorbidity. As such, we hypothesised that participants with signs would report higher levels distress diminished self‐rated compared those without a component. Methods A retrospective review standardised questionnaires (Pain DETECT Questionnaire, Post‐traumatic Stress Disorder Checklist‐Civilian, Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale, Euro QOL Visual Analogue Scale) administered injured soldiers. The were classified into three groups according questionnaire: non‐neuropathic , possible definite pain. Results Fifty‐three included. Checklist‐Civilian score was median (interquartile range) 26 (22–31), Scale 4 (2–6.5) 2 (1–5) for anxiety depression respectively. Evidence correlated positively (rho = 0.469, P < 0.001) subscale 0.357, 0.009), inversely −0.361, 0.008). In multivariate regression analyses, associations remained when adjusting socio‐demographics clinical characteristics. Conclusions results from present study suggest is related increased deterioration
