The Philippines is considered one of the most vulnerable and susceptible countries to effects natural disasters due its location. Therefore, country needs be resilient calamities it faces yearly. research aimed determine factors that affect protective behavior Filipinos during by integrating motivation theory, theory planned behaviors, ergonomic appraisals, adding variables such as knowledge geographical perspectives. PLS-SEM was used significant behavior. A questionnaire developed distributed 302 in through a digital survey using Google forms. analysis showed intention prepare factor affecting their behavior, followed macro physical ergonomics. Aside from this, attitudes, perceived severity, self-efficacy, response efficacy, cost, subjective norms were found influence significantly. Furthermore, understanding significantly influences an individual’s severity. However, perspective, vulnerability, behavioral control, cognitive ergonomics have insignificant on for calamities. study findings could basis household units or national government build disaster management plans resilience programs. can also researchers exploring other areas may individuals worldwide.

Background The COVID-19 epidemic may elevate mental distress and depressive symptoms in various populations China. Objective This study investigates the levels of depression due to COVID-19, associations between cognitive, behavioral, psychosocial factors, among university students Methods A large-scale online cross-sectional (16 cities 13 provinces) was conducted from February 1 10, 2020, China; 23,863 valid questionnaires were returned. Patient Health Questionnaire-9 used assess depression. Structural equation modeling performed test mediation suppression effects. Results Of participants, 47.1% (n=11,235) reported high or very one more types COVID-19; 39.1% (n=9326) showed mild severe Mental positively associated with All but factor (perceived infection risks, perceived chance controlling epidemic, staying at home, contacted people Wuhan, discrimination) significantly partially mediated suppressed some studied factors (effect size 6.0%-79.5%). Conclusions Both prevalent former have increased prevalence latter. related directly indirectly (via COVID-19) affect Interventions modify such reduce during epidemic.

Abstract Human behaviour is known to be crucial in the propagation of infectious diseases through respiratory or close-contact routes like current SARS-CoV-2 virus. Intervention measures implemented curb spread virus mainly aim at limiting number close contacts, until vaccine roll-out complete. Our main objective was assess relationships between perceptions and social contact Belgium. Understanding these maximize interventions’ effectiveness, e.g. by tailoring public health communication campaigns. In this study, we surveyed a representative sample adults Belgium two longitudinal surveys (survey 1 April 2020 August 2020, survey 2 November 2021). Generalized linear mixed effects models were used analyse surveys. Participants with low neutral on perceived severity made significantly higher contacts as compared participants high levels after controlling for other variables. results highlight key role during pandemic. Nevertheless, additional research required investigate impact COVID-19 terms changes behaviour.

This study investigates how belief and folklore culture influence destination online engagement behavior, with a specific focus on Meizhou Island's Mazu culture. Through social cognition theory, the reveals that cultural atmosphere affects behavior through mystique place distinctiveness, but peer emotional contagion perceived crowding moderate this relationship negatively. According to study, enhancing environment regulating tourist flow is critical creating positive experience for tourists. The also provides valuable insights tourism practitioners policymakers enhance promote tourism.

The purpose of this article is to show the effect Risk Perception RP and Definition RD on Risk-Addressing Behaviour RB. To carry out study secondary data was used from a semi-structured survey administered between February June 2020, period during early stages COVID-19 pandemic. identified six dimensions risk perception thus tested structural models. (ξ RP) defined as an external latent variable in study. It also assumed that may affect definition (η RD). application software SmartPLS analyse through exploratory factor analysis partial least squares equation modelling our research model. achieve Convergent validity model squares, three criteria were met. In study, Discriminant Validity examined using Fornell-Larcker criterion Heterotrain-Monotrait Ratio (HTMT) coefficients. Results reveal there no direct relationship RB “religion beliefs”, “fear level, experience”, “peer influences level” “openness”. However, we found positive agreement “knowledge” statistically significant relationships level”, “experience”, “knowledge”, Moreover, indirect when controlling for level”. “openness” but moderate Although, seems be abundant RP, so far have only few studies influencing factors effected by RD, especially distressed times such current pandemic COVID-19. This study examined the effects of home confinement on physical activity (PA) and life satisfaction during COVID-19 outbreak in Qatar. A total 1144 subjects participated (male: n = 588; female: 556; age: 33.1 ± 11.1 years; mass: 76.1 16.4 kg; height: 1.70 0.11 m; body mass index (BMI): 26.1 4.44 kg/m2). Online survey questions considered “before” “during” confinement. Confinement reduced all PA intensities (ηp2 0.27–0.67, p < 0.001) increased daily sitting time from 3.57 1.47 to 6.32 1.33 h per weekday 0.67, 0.001). The largest reduction was detected for sum parameter (minutes week, ηp2 0.001; MET (metabolic equivalent task)-minutes/week, 0.69, Life decreased, with score “I am satisfied my life” 0.76, decreasing 28.1 4.81 14.2 6.41 arbitrary units (AU). Concerning satisfaction, change statement “the conditions are excellent” (dmale 7.93). For parameters, were indicative large negative both genders. In terms magnitude, difference between gender greatest (difference groups, d 4.84). conclusion, decreased PA, time, These precautionary findings explicate risk psychosocial impairment potential harm reducing early 2020.

The COVID-19 vaccine is widely available to adolescents in the U.S.; however, hesitancy poses a threat full coverage. literature shows that perceived risks and presence or lack of motivators are determinants for vaccination decisions, yet research evidence from minors scant. This study adopted Protection Motivation framework identify differences these facilitators compare influence internal external among American uptake. A nationwide online survey analyzed 13−17-year-old teenagers’ beliefs as well present potential reasons accepting vaccine. Of 439 participants, 21.18% were not did plan get vaccinated. Another 52.39% had at least one dosage, which over three-quarters internally motivated (whereas those unvaccinated more likely be externally motivated, X2 = 4.117, p 0.042). In individuals, older reported slightly than younger (t −2.023, 0.046). Internal motivation was associated with higher risk perception (r2 0.06651, 0.001), but stronger relationship status 0.1816, < vaccinated individuals showing (mean difference 0.42 on scale 1−4; t −3.603, 0.001); even greater between hesitant non-hesitant participants 0.63; −0.892, 0.001). moderated by knowledge, where only significant low knowledge (f 10.59, Increasing awareness disease stressing may key improving uptake young people. This study aimed to predict factors affecting perceived usability by integrating Protection Motivation Theory and Technology Acceptance considering System Usability Scale, utilizing deep learning neural network random forest classifier. A total 800 respondents were collected through convenience sampling measure understanding COVID-19, severity, vulnerability, ease use, usefulness, attitude towards using, intention actual system usability. In total, 97.32% showed that presented most significant factor addition, classifier produced a 92% accuracy with 0.00 standard deviation indicating vulnerability led very high while severity use also findings this could be considered government promote usage even in other countries. ABSTRACTTourism short videos are increasingly being utilized to promote tourism development and differentiate destinations through electronic word-of-mouth. This study explores the association between perception of destination distinctiveness (PDD) word-of-mouth on image (eWOM-DI), as online gain more popularity. Drawing emotional appraisal theory, investigates how PDD affects eWOM-DI concentration a mediator enjoyability authenticity moderators. The findings indicate that has direct indirect effect concentration. Additionally, reveals higher levels or can strengthen positive effects eWOM-DI.
