Abstract Background Comorbidity between depressive and anxiety disorders is common. From network perspective, mental arise from direct interactions symptoms comorbidity due to depression symptoms. The current study investigates the structure of in Chinese female nursing students identifies central bridge as well how other present are related symptom “thoughts death”. Methods To understand full spectrum anxiety, we recruited 776 with that span range normal abnormal. Depression were measured by Patient Health Questionnaire-9 while Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-Item Questionnaire. Network analysis was used construct networks. Specifically, computed predictability, expected influence for each showed a flow Results Nine strongest edges existed same disorder. Four symptoms, like “sleep difficulties” “fatigue”, “anhedonia” “fatigue”. Five “nervousness or anxiety” “worry too much”, “restlessness” “afraid something will happen”. “feeling worthlessness” “irritable” had highest centrality. also revealed two symptoms: “depressed sad mood” “irritable”. As death”, relations it “psychomotor agitation/retardation” relations. Conclusions highlighted critical Particularly, identified key priorities their associations suicide ideation. Implications clinical prevention intervention based on these discussed.

Abstract Despite being one of the main components anxiety and playing a pivotal role in how an individual perceives copes with anxiogenic situations or responds to given treatment, trait is paradoxically omitted most animal models anxiety. This problematic particularly more concerning that are used screen drugs other treatments for specific disorders investigate their neurobiological mechanisms. Our group has been engaged search anxiety-related traits We developed two new lines rats strong phenotypic divergence high (Carioca High-conditioned Freezing [CHF]) low Low-conditioned [CLF]) as expressed contextual fear conditioning paradigm. Here, we summarize key behavioral, pharmacological, physiological, differences these lines, CHF rat line, relative randomized-cross controls discuss far they represent valid reliable model generalized disorder so

Comorbidity of depressive and anxiety disorders is common remains incompletely comprehended. This paper summarizes findings from the Netherlands Study Depression Anxiety (NESDA) regarding prevalence, temporal sequence, course longitudinal patterns; sociodemographic, vulnerability neurobiological indicators; functional, somatic mental health indicators comorbidity.Narrative synthesis earlier NESDA based papers on comorbidity (n=76).Comorbidity was rule in over three-quarter subjects with and/or disorders, most often preceded by an disorder. Higher severity chronicity characterized a poorer course. Over time, transitions between were common. Consistent risk childhood trauma, neuroticism early age onset. Psychological vulnerabilities, such as trait avoidance tendencies, more pronounced comorbid than single disorders. In general, there few differences biological markers neuroimaging persons versus Most somatic, other indicators, ranging disability to cardiovascular psychiatric multimorbidity, highest disorders. The observational design limits causal inference. Attrition higher relative disorders. As compared psychosocial determinants, morbidities, functional impairments, outcome. These results justify specific attention for particularly treatment settings.

Anxiety and depression are comorbidities of severe asthma. However, clinical characteristics associated with coexisting asthma anxiety/depression poorly understood. The study objective is to determine anxiety depressive symptoms in asthma.Severe participants (N = 140) underwent a multidimensional assessment. Categorization were based on HADS scale sub-scores divided into four groups (< 8 both subscales; ≥ one subscale; subscales). Clinical compared between subgroups. Multivariate logistic regression determined associations and/or people asthma.Participants (mean ± SD) 59.3 14.7 years old, 62% female. There 74 (53%) without anxiety/depression, 11 (7%) anxiety, 37 (26%) 18 (13%) depression. Quality life impairment was greater (4.4 1.2) combined 1.1). Asthma control worse those (2.9 1.1) (2.6 1.0). In multivariate models, dysfunctional breathing (OR 1.24 [1.01, 1.53]). Dyspnoea 1.90 [1.10, 3.25]). Dysfunctional 1.16 [1.04, 1.23]) obesity 1.17 [1.00, 1.35]) depression.People have poorer QoL control. Dyspnoea, these symptoms. These key should be targeted management.
