ABSTRACTABSTRACTObjective This study examined mental health symptoms, help-seeking, and coping differences between Canadian essential workers (EWs) versus non-EWs, as well common COVID-related concerns longitudinal predictors of symptoms among EWs only.Design An online, survey (N = 1260; response rate (RR) 78.5%) assessing psychosocial domains amongst adults was administered during the first wave COVID-19 with a six-month follow-up 821; RR 53.7%).Methods Cross tabulations chi-square analyses sociodemographic, health, non-EWs. Healthcare workers serving during the COVID-19 pandemic may have been exposed to high work overload, which had an impact on their physical, mental, and social health. The aim of this study was assess risk factors associated with psychological distress among healthcare from January 2020 December 2022.A systematic review conducted based PRISMA statement. Articles were searched in Pubmed, Scopus, Web Science, CINAHL, PsycINFO databases.A total 59 articles included review. It observed that prevalence high. Female sex, being a nurse, young, living alone/being single, having chronic disease or psychiatric disorder history are main at personal level. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused an enormous psychological impact worldwide. This study aimed to assess anxiety, depression, stress, and compensatory behaviors among Moroccan healthcare workers (HCWs) during COVID-19. descriptive cross-sectional was conducted using a snowball sampling strategy. Online surveys were sent groups of HCWs working in Casablanca Fez cities. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) measured the Impact Event Scale revised (IES-R) scale, DASS-21 used measure participants. Compensatory by manage these symptoms also investigated. majority participants (72.5%) experienced moderate severe distress pandemic. (53.1%) reported mild extremely depression. Overall, nurses, female, frontline more depression (P < .001). Leisure activities (29%), sport (19%), drinking tea/coffee (19%) most common behaviors. Our findings suggest that support interventions targeting high-risk with heavy are needed. Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has induced demanding work situations in intensive care units (ICU). objective of our study was to survey psychological reactions, the disturbance social life, effort, and support ICU nurses, physicians, leaders. Methods: From May July 2020, this cross-sectional included 484 professionals from 27 hospitals throughout Norway. Symptoms anxiety depression were measured on Hopkins Symptom Checklist-10 (HSCL-10). post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) PCL-5. Results: population highly educated experienced professionals, well prepared for working with COVID-ICU patients. However, 53% felt socially isolated 67% reported a fear infecting others. Probable cases found 12.5% registered 11.6% 4.1% Younger age <5 years previous experiences predictors high HSCL-10 scores. Reported symptom-defined PTSD nurses 7.1%; leaders, 4.1%; 2.3% physicians. Conclusions: health talking colleagues as most helpful source support. leaders significantly higher mean score than physicians terms pushing themselves toward producing effort.

To follow up on the experiences of Registered Nurses (RNs) working after 1 year COVID-19 pandemic in Canadian and American hospitals.Semi-structured interviews were conducted, transcripts analysed through a reflexive thematic analysis (RTA).RNs (n = 19) first interviewed spring 2020 re-interviewed their original (May 25, 2021-June 2021). Participants consisted nurses residing Canada Ontario 12) or hospitals 7), i.e., both local cross-border nurses.Five themes identified: (1) "You call us heroes, but you forgot us": described disrespect stigma from communities, government, workplaces. (2) "A whole new level busy": reported stressors at home work that had increased exponentially throughout pandemic. Background and Objectives: Evidence shows that throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, nurses suffered from emotional symptoms, yet in spite of this, few studies within “positive psychology” have analyzed emergence/promotion positive traits, such as hardiness. In this context, present study aimed to test a model regarding mediating role self-efficacy between anxiety experienced at beginning pandemic hardiness assessed six months later among critical care units (CCU) Spain. Materials Methods: An observational, descriptive, prospective longitudinal with two data collection periods: (1) 1 21 June 2020 (final phase state alarm declared Spain on 14 March) which socio-demographic occupational variables, (Depression, Anxiety Stress Scale, DASS-21), (General Self-Efficacy GSES) basal resilience (Resilience Scale-14, RS-14) were assessed, (2) follow-up 6 (January–March 2021) (Occupational Hardiness Questionnaire, OHQ) was evaluated. To analyze data, multivariate regressions performed using PROCESS macro (simple mediation, 4). Results: A total 131 Spanish CCUs, mean age 40.54 years (88.5% women) participated study. Introduction: Epidemics lead to an increase in occupational stress and psychological strain among healthcare workers. However, the impact of a pandemic outbreak on systems is yet be clearly defined.
