El objetivo del estudio fue desarrollar una revisión sistemática de literatura sobre la competencia digital en estudiantes universitarios, con el fin orientar futuras investigaciones. Se realizó investigación cualitativa documental dos fases: heurística y hermenéutica. Los artículos mayoritariamente utilizan enfoque cuantitativo alcance descriptivo, revelando información valiosa universitarios. Sin embargo, dada naturaleza descriptiva los estudios, no se profundiza lo suficiente las variables que pudieran explicar resultados obtenidos. concluye requiere realizar investigaciones alcances explicativos correlacionales para comprender mejor considerando factores como evaluaciones desempeño creencias personales.

Role of higher education institutions in developing digital competence in Sultanate of Oman: a step towards achieving Vision 2040 DOI

Purpose The study aims to assess Oman's preparedness for digital competency on three parameters: knowledge, technology, and future readiness. Second, it identify critical areas of implementation concerning HEIs. Design/methodology/approach Knowledge shall be assessed talent, training education, scientific concentration. Technology will evaluated based regulatory, capital, technological frameworks. Future readiness examined adaptive attitude, business agility, IT integration. overall status in all evaluated, considering contributions made by various stakeholders, such as the government, public agencies, corporations, educational institutions, etc. data this exploratory exercise cogenerated from secondary sources that are available openly. Findings Oman scores above average parameters regulatory framework, attitudes, integration, with an score 60 out 100. Oman’s mean sub-factors like agility is average—between 50 60. concentration 35.14—below criterion. Originality/value Most studies have concentrated mainly teachers' online awareness competencies, particularly schools during after post-COVID scenario. However, negligible higher education. Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic challenged universities to maintain teaching, leading online classes becoming the standard teaching mode and accelerating digitalization. Learning from influence of these developments on students’ technology commitment may hold valuable information for various stakeholders. present study investigated development three facets in higher education during first two semesters under pandemic: acceptance, competence belief, control belief. sample consisted N = 132 graduate students at one German university who filled out questionnaires measurement points waves. change all over time was examined with latent models.
