In view of the recent education sectoral transition to Education 4.0 (EDUC4), evaluating preparedness higher institutions (HEIs) for EDUC4 implementation remains a gap in current literature. Through comprehensive review, seven criteria were evaluated, namely, human resources, infrastructure, financial, linkages, educational management, learners, and health environment. This work offers two crucial contributions: (1) development an indicator system (2) design computational structure that evaluates each computes aggregate level HEI. Using full consistency method (FUCOM) assign priority weights rough set theory capture ambiguity imprecision inherent measurement, this study index holistically overall HEI towards EDUC4. An actual case is presented demonstrate applicability proposed system. After thorough evaluation, results indicate resources most critical criterion, while environment ranked last. Insights obtained from provide HEIs with salient information necessary decision making various aspects, including targeted policies allocation conducive implementing initiatives. Scientific and technological developments bring new requirements for university education and, particularly, the training of professionals. There is a regular need to update curricula integrate market trends educational approaches. It necessary know future in teaching programs. Our research higher institution Ecuador focused on providing perspectives programs by analyzing programs’ designs, students professors’ needs innovative education. We used descriptive/exploratory case study method, employing quantitative surveys qualitative interviews, focus groups benchmarking as instruments. The were applied 337 current students, 384 potential 313 graduates Educational Sciences. conducted interviews with 20 experts from Mexico, Spain, Colombia Ecuador. held 32 professionals, including rectors, principals, specialists primary, secondary teachers. Education 4.0 (EDUC4) was driven by the onset of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) to meet labor market requirements resulting from learning that is customized, flexible, accessible, and skills-based. As concept EDUC4 develops popularity in education innovation research domains, various challenges about its implementation have emerged, especially developing economies. Thus, there a need investigate existing barriers implementation. Using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement, systematic literature review journal articles Scopus database conducted. Of 299 generated initial search on Scopus, 30 met inclusion criteria were included review. The content analysis yielded 12 which include cybersecurity threat, costly, skills gap human capital, apprehensive stakeholders, lack training resources, collaboration, knowledge customization curriculum design, insufficient available technologies, health issues, time constraint material preparation, complexity platforms, foundation basic education. This study explores the relationships among transformational leadership, professional learning community (PLC) components, and teachers’ job satisfaction from Chinese principals’ perspective. A survey was conducted 572 principals different provinces in China. Structural equation modelling results revealed that leadership had a significant effect on all five components of PLCs (i.e., shared purpose, collaborative activity, collective focus student learning, deprivatized practice, reflective dialogue), these PLC significantly predicted satisfaction. Technological transitions in the education sector of developing economies are faced with a range barriers, involving resource scarcity, socio-cultural concerns, and issues related to management policy. The popularity Industry 4.0 has prompted Education (EDUC4), an approach learning that involves transformation using advanced technologies. While recent work reported comprehensive list barriers EDUC4 implementation, particularly economies, further analysis identify those priority remains gap. Thus, this addresses gap by introducing novel methodological extension decision-making trial evaluation laboratory (DEMATEL) method following integration Fermatean fuzzy sets (FFS). FFS, compared other environments, could capture higher levels uncertainties associated when eliciting judgments necessary for DEMATEL. Education 4.0 promotes visualizing how teachers’ traditional digital competencies adopt innovative practices. The present research analyzes the relationship between perceived information (DICs) of university teachers and implementation evidence-based, actions (EBEI) in a model that supports method applied was mixed method. In quantitative phase, final sample consisted 271 teachers. ad hoc competency-open educational resource scale (DC-OER) to measure their perception DIC. qualitative 15 were interviewed. results showed (a) close fulfillment EBEI support DIC; (b) results, most cases, means are central value 3, standard deviation is 1, which indicates higher (c) indicate search, select, evaluate information, produce new knowledge; (d) theoretical links DIC formation citizenship. data can be academic community relevant environments within framework 4.0.
