Abstract Consumers’ comfort and familiarity with digital interactions are helping drive the rise of banking. Banks responding to customers’ demands by introducing cutting‐edge services designed improve quality life cut costs. To better understand obstacles preventing widespread adoption banking in developing Asian economies, we conducted a systematic literature review bibliometric analysis for this study. The data is extracted from Scopus database, which initially contains 4211 articles, 152 articles were selected using PRISMA 2020 criteria VOSviewer Biblioshiny software, 85 papers subjected full‐text review. review, limited uncovered essential themes, theories methodologies used prior research. We discuss constraints, difficulties research gaps, illuminating critical regions field. Our findings offer helpful information strategies encourage use unexplored areas crowdfunding, Robo‐advisors, payment apps, neo banks, P2P lending apps investing highlighted as future directions.

Purpose COVID-19 disrupted the lives of consumers across globe, and retail sector has been one hardest hits. The impact on consumers' choice behaviour retailers' responses studied in detail through multiple lenses. Now that effect is abating, there a need to consolidate learnings during lifecycle set agenda for research post-COVID-19. This paper retrospectively examines how the digital payment-financial inclusion nexus fostered demand-driven payment system innovation and diffusion within global open economy during COVID-19 crisis. To that end, uses a cross-sectional sample of 127854 respondents from across 123 economies, extracted 2021 wave Global Findex Survey. Together with hybrid theoretical framework bridges quadruple helix (QH) model random utility theory (RUT), study characterizes individuals' stated preferences for cashless three consumption domains in-store shopping, online regular bills settlement.
