Bu araştırma, elektromanyetik kirliliğe yol açan teknolojik cihazların kullanımıyla ilgili ortaokul öğrencilerinin farkındalık düzeylerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. 2024-2025 Eğitim-öğretim yılında, Ankara’daki bir resmi ortaokulda 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan 391 kişilik grupla gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada, karma yöntemler açıklayıcı sıralı desen kullanılmıştır. Nicel veriler, "Elektromanyetik Kirliliğe Sebep Olan Teknolojik Cihazların Bilinçli Kullanımına İlişkin Farkındalık Ölçeği" Kişisel Bilgi Formu ile nitel veriler ise yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu toplanmıştır. SPSS programıyla, MAXQDA programıyla analiz edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, öğrencilerin düzeylerinin cinsiyet, düzeyi fen bilimleri akademik başarısı gibi faktörlere göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediğini, ancak aile eğitim durumu gelir seviyesinin üzerinde etkili olduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Nitel kirlilik hakkında bilgi sahibi olmadıklarını konuya dair genellikle sağlığa zararlı etkiler elektronik cihazlardan kaynaklanan görüşler bildirdiklerini göstermektedir. Ayrıca, büyük kısmı kullanımını azaltmayı istemektedir.
