Aging and age-related disease are among the most common challenging issues worldwide. During aging process, accumulation of oxidative stress, DNA damage, telomere dysfunction, other related changes lead to cellular dysfunction development diseases such as neurodegenerative cardiovascular conditions. Curcumin is a widely-used dietary supplement against various cancer, diabetes, aging. This agent mediates its effects through several mechanisms, including reduction reactive oxygen species (ROS) stress-induced well modulation subcellular signaling pathways AMPK, AKT/mTOR, NF-κB. These involved in senescence inflammation, their can improve cell function help prevent disease. In induce apoptosis variety different tumor lines. also activates redox reactions within cells inducing ROS production that leads upregulation receptors on membrane. upregulate expression activity p53 inhibits proliferation increases apoptosis. Furthermore, curcumin has potent inhibitory effect nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) , which overexpression antiapoptosis genes Bcl-2 . It attenuate regulation phosphoinositide 3-kinases ( PI3K ) increase mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) endogenous ROS. Therefore, herein, we aim summarize how affect epigenetic processes (such stress) order change aging-related mechanisms. discuss roles diseases, Alzheimer, Parkinson, osteoporosis, diseases.

Aging is a natural and irreversible process, affecting living organisms by negatively impacting the tissues' cells' morphology functionality consequently being responsible for aging-related diseases. Taking into account actual preoccupations of both consumers researchers, healthy anti-aging alternatives are intensively studied in order to address such concerns. Due their functional features, plant flavonoids can be considered valuable nutraceuticals. This paper highlights possibilities use extracted from various plants potential on skin, brain, heart. Moreover, anticarcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic properties summarized, along with senescence-associated mechanisms. Both nutraceutical cosmeceutical fields continuously developing originating promising candidates obtain products. Thus, bioactive compounds' extraction subsequent involvement innovative product manufacturing must carefully performed while aware intrinsic extrinsic factors that may affect phytochemicals' structures, bioavailability, health effects.

Abstract Aging or senescence is part of human life development with many effects on the physical, mental, and physiological aspects which may lead to age-related deterioration in organs. Genus Curcuma family Zingieraceae represents one well-studied medically important genera more than eighty species. The genus reported contain different classes biologically active compounds that are mainly presented diphenylheptanoids, diphenylpentanoids, diphenylalkanoids, phenylpropene derivatives, alkaloids, flavonoids, chromones, terpenoids, phenolic acids volatile constituents. Rhizomes roots such species rich main phytoconstituents viz. curcumin, demethoxycurcumin bis-demethoxycurcumin. A wide variety biological activities were demonstrated for extracts essential oils members including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, cytotoxic neuroprotective. Thus, making them as an excellent safe source nutraceutical products a continuous promising area research help slowing down aging process especially neurologic mental usually experienced upon aging. In this review summarized their phytochemical highlighting role antiaging agents. data collected from search engines Pubmed®, Google Scholar®, Scopus® Web Science® limiting period between 2003 up till now.

Endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress plays a pivotal role in adipogenesis, which encompasses the differentiation of adipocytes and lipid accumulation. Sustained ER has potential to disrupt signaling unfolded protein response (UPR), thereby influencing adipogenesis. This comprehensive review illuminates molecular mechanisms that underpin interplay between We delve into dysregulation UPR pathways, namely, IRE1-XBP1, PERK ATF6 relation adipocyte differentiation, metabolism, tissue inflammation. Moreover, we scrutinize how impacts key adipogenic transcription factors such as proliferator-activated receptor γ (PPARγ) CCAAT-enhancer-binding proteins (C/EBPs) along with their interaction other pathways. The cellular ramifications include alterations adipokines, aged adipose also discuss roles chaperones cyclophilin A B play By shedding light on intricate relationship this paves way for devising innovative therapeutic interventions.

Aging is a multifaceted physiological process marked by alterations in human appearance and the progressive decline organ function. With intensification of global population aging, health older individuals has emerged as critical concern, particularly given significant impact cardiovascular aging on overall outcomes. Although an inevitable natural process, strategies aimed at delaying its progression can enhance In recent years, products have garnered increasing attention for their potential disease intervention, attributed to high efficacy relatively low side-effect profiles. These demonstrated anti-aging effects several studies. This review provides comprehensive overview mechanisms underlying reviews biological activities various active constituents combating aging. It encompasses latest findings trends from both vitro vivo studies, thereby offering theoretical foundation development novel, side effect, rapidly acting drugs that target Natural exert anti-cardiovascular through multiple mechanisms, including antioxidant activity, apoptosis inhibition, anti-thrombosis, anti-fibrosis, anti-atherosclerosis, blood pressure regulation. For instance, water-soluble components Salvia miltiorrhiza , such tanshinone salvianolic acid B, improve function modulating oxidative stress inflammatory responses. Ligustrazine Rhizoma Chuanxiong reduces myocardial injury activating phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-protein kinase B signaling pathway, whereas Ginkgo biloba leaf extract enhances vascular regulating inflammation. Additionally, animal-derived products, antler peptides royal jelly, cardioprotective effects. However, current studies possess limitations, with insufficient evidence supporting clinical application many products. Their long-term safety humans require further validation. Despite these challenges, hold improving among elderly. continued research into action advancement trials, they are expected become important tools enhancing quality life Future should explore develop safer more effective drugs, contributing positively societal health.

Ageing is a natural process characterized by time-dependent decline of physiological integrity that compromises functionality and inevitably leads to death. This also quite relevant in major human pathologies, being primary risk factor neurodegenerative diseases, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular diseases musculoskeletal disorders. Bearing this mind, it not surprising research aiming at improving health during has burst the last decades. Importantly, hallmarks ageing phenotype have been identified, knowledge for future studies towards identification putative pharmaceutical targets, enabling development preventive/therapeutic strategies improve longevity. In context, aromatic plants emerged as source potential bioactive volatile molecules, mainly monoterpenes, with many referring their anti-ageing potential. Nevertheless, an integrated review on current lacking, several approaches studying isolated or overall effect, without depicting possible mechanisms action. Herein, we aim provide updated systematization monoterpenes recently proposed hallmarks, highlight main action already well chemical entity–activity relations. By gathering categorizing available scattered information, identify important gaps could help pave way field.
