Background/Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the lifestyle and behavioral factors that influence nutritional status of adolescents from Transylvania, Romania. Methods: The Global School-Based Student Health Survey (GSHS) was used collect data 900 between 11 18 years old Transylvania region, assessed by calculating BMI indicators adjusted Z-Score, cut-off points according World Organization (WHO), using self-reported weight height; perceived health status; food vulnerability; physical activity; addictive behaviors (cigarette, alcohol drug consumption); number hours spent in front computer/phone; hand oral hygiene; sitting time/day; sleep. Multivariate logistic regression establish influenced status. Results: results showed 8.7% (n = 78) girls 15.2% 137) boys were overweight obese. In total, 75% respondents engaged sedentary behaviors, 65.8% 592) had more than 2 h/day screen exposure, considering 98.7% population a mobile phone. Romanian poor dietary behaviors: over 80% them did not meet recommended amount vegetable fruit intake per day. Increased associated with higher-strength exercise being boy. Correlates of Smartphone Addiction and Dysfunctional Effects Among School-going Children in Bangladesh DOI

The principal objective of this article was to explore the correlates smartphone addiction and its dysfunctional effects among school-going children in Bangladesh. In study, measured by applying Smartphone Addiction Proneness Scale through a structured questionnaire administered via social survey method. Data were collected from sample size 490 children, aged 12–18 some cases 18+ covering total eight secondary schools Bangladesh, using purposive sampling. Abstract Background Smartphone usage is an essential everyday tool in Iran, however problematic use has escalated and become a concern for the Iranian health policy system, particularly during following COVID-19 Pandemic. This study’s aim was investigation of prevalence smartphone addiction, patterns use, relationship to specific demographic characteristics associated musculoskeletal disorders pandemic. Methods A descriptive-analytical correlational study recruited participants from population convenience ( n = 2344) who were owners with > 1 year use. For information electronic self-report questionnaire collected age, sex, marital status, daily hours, patterns. To assess addiction levels, ‘Smartphone Addiction Scale-short version’ (SAS-SV) patient-reported outcome measure used (cut-off 31). experienced discomfort, Extended Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (ENMQ) used. Results The (female 66.6%, 1561, mean age 29.07 ± 12.34 years, range 6–60 years) averaged 5.75 3.44 h/day. general 46.16% (females 46.06%, males 46.36%; married 44.5%, single 47.63%). School students had greatest (53.2%) those higher education or above Master’s degree lowest (39.38%). highest pattern social networks at 89.1% 88.34%, male 90.54%). areas reported discomfort eyes (43.5%) neck (43.3%). significant correlation found between hours usage, amount increased pandemic period. Objective Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic-related psychological symptoms can lead to smartphone addiction (SPA) risk and other behavioral disorders, thus impacting individuals’ mental health well-being. The present study aims propose a mediation model investigate the association between emotional intelligence (EI) SPA, mediating role of future anxiety (FA) during post-COVID-19 era.Methods An online questionnaire including Emotional Intelligence Scale, Dark Future Smartphone Addiction Scale among university students from China, was conducted September 14 November 22, 2022. Finally, 1,154 valid questionnaires were collected. reliability confirmatory factor analysis results showed that all three scales had good validity.Results Structural Equation Model demonstrated EI significantly negatively influenced SPA (β=0.211, p<0.001), students’ FA positively effected (β=0.315, predicted in students, partially mediated SPA. effect 0.110, which accounted for 34.27% total effect. Bootstrap furthermore tested rigor effect.Conclusion These findings broaden our understanding regarding relationship FA, providing new sights educators on how reduce when confronting ongoing possible pandemics.

Parte do tempo das crianças e adolescentes é passado usufruindo de tecnologia internet no ambiente refúgio. Esse comportamento algumas vezes resulta em um consumo abusivo. O objetivo mapear as evidências científicas sobre os adoecimento psicológico causado pelo uso excessivo telas. Revisão integrativa da literatura, conforme o método revisão proposto por Torres et al. (2020). Estabeleceu-se a pergunta norteadora “Quais riscos psicológicos causados telas adolescentes?”. A exploração na literatura foi conduzida nas 2 seguintes bases dados BVS PubMed com intervalo publicação até setembro 2023. Identificados 167 estudos encontrados, 09 foram selecionados para leitura íntegra, resultando uma amostra final 06 artigos analisados. Os analisados publicados 2019 2023 âmbito nacional internacional. Representando resultados pesquisa bibliográfica, sendo sua organização seguida pelos anos, autores objetivos específicos. Exibem importância papel profissional enfermagem assistência adolescentes, bem como faz ser necessário adquirir conhecimentos habilidades. Conclui-se que pode acarretar impactos adversos saúde mental, tais distúrbio sono, ansiedade, depressão, experiência suicídio, variações estado ânimo dificuldade interações sociais. indicados podem contribuir definir limites planejados promover alternativas elevadas.

Smartphone usage dependency in daily activities also causes vulnerability to addiction and its effects on health, especially the increment during COVID-19 pandemic because of switching online. Research prevention treatment overcome smartphone is still relatively limited. This study aims analyze effectiveness educational media programs using social-media compared printed-media reducing levels. Changes interpersonal-relationship self- esteem as a related mediator affected negative impacts were investigated. Media effectivity was assessed by decrease users’ level, self-esteem. A three-wave cross-sectional series conducted 54 subjects, divided into two groups given routine printed or program for month. Results from comparative analysis showed more effective than addiction; both are statistically significant (p=0.000). It shows that health education has role prevention, but choosing right most specific populations necessary. Both increased interpersonal-relationship, self-esteem rose only group. Interpersonal-relationship tended increase, while varied person person, showing level might affect mental-behavioral need further other influencing confounding factors.
