Abstract Researchers discovered that diets rich in anthocyanin-rich fruits and vegetables significantly impacted gut flora. To conclude, large-scale randomized controlled clinical trials are challenging to conduct; therefore, merging data from multiple small studies may aid. A systematic review collects analyses all research on a particular subject design. This comprehensive meta-analysis examined the influence of dietary anthocyanins Firmicutes/Bacteroide (Fir/Bac) short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) content. The current followed guidelines PRISMA—the preferred reporting items for reviews meta-analyses. Diets high substantially reduced Fir/Bac ratio assessed trials. Among three SCFAs, highest impact was observed acetic acid, by propionic then butanoic acid. results also obtained sufficient heterogeneity, as indicated I 2 values. There is strong evidence anthocyanin supplementation improves rodent health biomarkers (Fir/Bac SCFAs), reducing obesity-induced dysbiosis, revealed this review/meta-analysis. Anthocyanin intervention duration dosage influenced SCFA. Anthocyanin-rich were more effective when consumed over an extended period at dosage.
