The production of olive oil generates mill wastewater (OMW) which essentially derives from the processing, treatment and pressing olives in mills. Traditional milling processes require a quantity water varying between 40 120 L per quintal pressed olives, generating considerable amount wastewater. It is thus necessary to reduce process enhance its use implement concept circular economy. To this end, our preliminary work was dedicated purification by means suitable efficient filtration systems. microfiltered OMW firstly concentrated through reverse osmosis. Grapes are rich in phenolic compounds, being important for human health with anti-inflammatory, antiatherosclerotic, antimutagenic, anticarcinogenic, antibacterial, antiviral, and antimicrobial activity. The winemaking of the grapes generates significant amounts waste. These wastes contain bioactive compounds their biomass that can be used as a source food improvement or nutrition supplementation. This study looks at content polyphenolic profile, antioxidant activity different white red grape pomaces. investigation characteristics (total polyphenols, total flavonoids, catechins, tannins, activity) was carried out by UV-Vis spectrophotometric methods, while individual composition investigated target screening UHPLC-HRMS/MS analysis. Agri-food industries generate a large amount of waste that offers great revalorization opportunities within the circular economy framework. In recent years, new methodologies for extraction compounds with more eco-friendly solvents have been developed, such as case natural deep eutectic (NADES). this study, methodology extracting phenolic from olive tree leaves using NADES has optimized. Distiller's grains, byproducts of the brewing process, represent a valuable resource for extracting natural phenolic compounds due to their significant global production. This study presents first evidence protective effects Moutai distiller's grain polyphenol extract (MDGP) on dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced colitis in mice. These manifest predominantly through amelioration general indices and histopathological improvements. Utilizing liquid chromatography-high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (LC-HR-ESI-MS), main components MDGP were identified as rutin, quercetin, naringenin, dihydroquercetin. In the framework of introducing green strategies for food processing, industrial orientation has shifted towards replacement conventional petroleum-based solvents with alternative eco-friendly ones. On this basis, objective study was to synthesize a novel, tertiary, food-grade deep eutectic solvent, composed glycerol, citric acid, and L-proline (GL-CA-Pro), test it as solvent extraction polyphenols from agri-food waste biomass. After an initial screening on various common residual materials (apple peels, lemon orange red grape pomace, olive leaves), evidence emerged that indicated GL-CA-Pro more effective than other DESs commonly used polyphenol extraction. Furthermore, extracts pomace (RGP) leaves (OLL) were shown contain higher level total increased antioxidant activity.
