The Coronavirus-19 disease (COVID-19) pandemic has influenced the nutrition of individuals, including diet followed, food availability, and security. Summary Food accessibility was considerably impacted by restrictions during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) pandemic, leading to growth in online food retail sector, which offered contact‐free delivery. This systematic review aimed assess change use of platforms COVID‐19. The secondary aim identify diet‐related chronic risk factors including dietary intake, eating behaviors, and/or weight status associated with pandemic. registered International Prospective Register Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO) (CRD42022320498) and adhered Preferred Reporting Items for Meta‐Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Nine electronic databases were searched between January 2020 October 2023. Studies that reported frequency or groceries, meal delivery applications, meal‐kit services before pandemic included. A total 53 studies identified, 46 cross‐sectional studies, 4 qualitative 2 longitudinal cohort 1 mixed‐methods study. Overall, 96% (43/45) outcomes showed an increase groceries COVID‐19, while 55% (22/40) a decrease applications. Eight nine gain emotional eating. In Spain, the health crisis caused by COVID-19 pandemic led to declaration of a state alarm in whole country 2020; this context, nationwide lockdown was implemented, potentially altering dietary habits population. Data on monthly foods beverages household purchases 2019 2020 obtained from Food Consumption Surveys. April, there an average increase, compared 2019, more than 40% for all food groups, significant peaks in: alcoholic (75%), appetizers (60%), eggs (59%), sugar sweets (52%), vegetables (50%). March, greatest peak pulses, 63% increment. mean energy value purchased April 2801 kcal/person/day, corresponding increase 771 kcal/person/day (+38%), month (March May: +520 kcal (+26%), June: +343 (+18%)). Regarding nutrient density, reduction calcium, iodine, zinc, selenium, riboflavin, vitamins B12, D, A, especially retinol, fibre, sodium, folic acid, carotenes vitamin E.
