Tea industry generates many by-products which could be used to produce and incorporate bioactive tea extracts (TE) into nutraceuticals, cosmetics and/or clinical applications. However, sensibility external factors is a major disadvantage hindering its utilization. This study deals with the implementation characterization of suitable biopolymer delivery systems based on starch, carrageenan or alginate, as microencapsulation, stabilize protect TE through innovative thin-carbohydrate-coated formulations. were spray-dried microencapsulated in recycled carrier materials (alginate, starch). Product yields varied from 55 58%. High microencapsulation loading efficiencies achieved (60-93% 65-84%, respectively). Antioxidant capacity 32 46 g Trolox/100 extract, within different carrier-systems; also showed promising rheological UV-protective properties when transformed gels. Total phenolic content, particle-size distribution, HPSEC-analysis, SEM-analysis FTIR-analysis performed. In sum, this paper characterizes discusses high potential these carbohydrate-coated microparticles for future

Normal wound healing is a dynamic and complex multiple phase process involving coordinated interactions between growth factors, cytokines, chemokines, various cells. Any failure in these phases may lead wounds to become chronic have abnormal scar formation. Chronic affect patients' quality of life, since they require repetitive treatments incur considerable medical costs. Thus, much effort has been focused on developing novel therapeutic approaches for treatment. Stem-cell-based strategies proposed treat wounds. They shown potential improving the rate regenerating skin. However, there are many challenges using stem cells skin regeneration. In this review, we present some sets data published embryonic cells, induced pluripotent adult Additionally, will discuss different angles whereby can contribute their unique features show current drawbacks.

The human body is inhabited by numerous bacteria, fungi, and viruses, each part has a unique microbial community structure. gastrointestinal tract harbors approximately 100 trillion strains comprising more than 1000 bacterial species that maintain symbiotic relationships with the host. gut microbiota consists mainly of phyla Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes, Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria. Of these, Firmicutes Bacteroidetes constitute 70-90% total abundance. Abstract MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are gene regulators involved in the pathogenesis of complex diseases such as cancers, and thus serve potential diagnostic markers therapeutic targets. The prerequisite for designing effective miRNA therapies is accurate discovery miRNA-disease associations (MDAs), which has attracted substantial research interests during last 15 years, reflected by more than 55 000 related entries available on PubMed. Abundant experimental data gathered from wealth literature could effectively support development computational models predicting novel associations. In 2017, Chen et al. published first-ever comprehensive review MDA prediction, presenting various relevant databases, 20 representative models, suggestions building powerful ones. current review, continuation previous study, we revisit biogenesis, detection techniques functions; summarize recent findings to common miRNA-associated diseases; introduce updates miRNA-relevant databases database releases since present mainstream webservers new webserver 2017 finally elaborate how fusion diverse sources contributed prediction.

Estrogens (estradiol, estriol, and estrone) are important hormones that directly indirectly regulate the metabolism function of bone skeletal muscle via estrogen receptors. Menopause causes a dramatic reduction in concentration body. This contributes to decline function, thereby resulting osteoporosis sarcopenia. Menopausal women often experience wasting, clinicians recognize as playing an role these conditions, particularly women. Bone closely related endocrine tissues synthesize produce various cytokines. These bone- muscle-derived cytokines, including interleukin-6, irisin, β-aminoisobutyric acid, osteocalcin, fibroblast growth factor-23, sclerostin, both local distant tissues, they mediate crosstalk between muscle. review examines metabolic effects on describes cytokine-mediated bone–muscle conditions deficiency.

Sexual dimorphism in energy metabolism is now established and suggested to affect many aspects of metabolic diseases particular diabetes obesity. This strongly related sex-based differences whole-body insulin resistance. Women are more sensitive compared men, but this advantage gradually disappears after menopause or when resistance progresses hyperglycemia diabetes. In narrative review, first, we describe the pathophysiology then present epidemiological evidence as well important biological factors that play a crucial role sexual sensitivity. We focus particularly on body fat muscle mass distribution function, inflammation sex hormones between males females. Most importantly, significant mechanistic sensitivity glucose lipid key organs: liver, white adipose tissue, skeletal muscle. Finally, response different interventions discuss open research questions.
