Parkinson's Disease (PD), a neurodegenerative disorder, is characterized by the degeneration of progressive dopaminergic (DA) neurons in substantia nigra region human midbrain. Although just what causes PD remains mystery, it known that oxidative stress (OS) as well mitochondrial dysfunction, neuro-inflammation, and insufficient neurotrophic support play role disease's pathophysiology. Phytochemicals are diverse small molecule group derived from plants can be classified into numerous classes on basis their biological activities chemical structure. Of these groups phytochemicals, most abundant, which has well-established anti-Parkinson's effects, polyphenols. Flavonoids, including naringin naringenin, genistein, kaempferol, anthocyanins, epigallocatechin-3-gallate, baicalein plant-based biologically active polyphenols, have been shown to exhibit therapeutic potential when used treatment for variety pathological illnesses, such diseases (NDs) PD. Recently, was reported flavonoids beneficial effects PD, protection DA neurons, improvement motor cognitive abilities, regulation signaling pathways, modulation OS neuro-inflammation. In addition, changing composition bacteria gut microbiota, reduce pathogenic strains promote growth strains. this context, current paper will provide literature review neurological roles play, one abundant phytochemical families,

Photodynamic therapy (PDT), with its advantages of high targeting, minimally invasive, and low toxicity side effects, has been widely used in the clinical various tumors, especially superficial tumors. However, tumor microenvironment (TME) presents hypoxia due to oxygen (O2 ) supply caused by abnormal vascularization neoplastic tissues O2 consumption induced rapid proliferation cells. The efficacy oxygen-consumping PDT can be hampered a hypoxic TME. To address this problem, researchers have developing advanced nanoplatforms strategies enhance therapeutic effect treatment. This review summarizes recent against TME, thus enhancing efficacy, including increasing content TME through delivering tumors situ generations ; decreasing during design type I photosensitizers. Moreover, synergistically combined other methods such as chemotherapy, photothermal therapy, immunotherapy, gas is accounted for addressing challenging problems mono environments, resistance, proliferation, metastasis. Finally, perspectives opportunities challenges future research translations are provided.

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) regulate the activities of inflammasomes, which are innate immune signaling organelles that induce pyroptosis. The mechanisms by ROS control inflammasome unclear and may be multifaceted. Herein, we report protein gasdermin D (GSDMD), forms membrane pores upon cleavage inflammasome-associated caspases, is a direct target ROS. Exogenous endogenous sources ROS, ROS-inducing stimuli prime cells for pyroptosis induction, promote oligomerization cleaved GSDMD, leading to rupture cell death. We find enhance GSDMD through oxidative modification cysteine 192 (C192). Within macrophages, mutants lacking C192 show impaired ability form Reciprocal mutagenesis studies reveal only within mediates responsiveness. Cellular redox state therefore key determinant activities.

The extent of the widespread, planetary contamination by plastic waste is difficult to fully capture. Nanoplastics (NPs) are currently in center research concerning litter, both for analytical challenges they pose and their potential provoke hazardous effects organisms. However, there still many unanswered questions this multidisciplinary field, with a crucial missing piece being quantification NPs fish tissues after vivo exposures. Another relevant question that greatly unexplored how chronic exposure will affect health. This study aims provide answers these knowledge gaps. To end, goldfish (Carassius auratus) were exposed 44 nm polystyrene (PS)-NPs via water 30 days. Following exposure, gastrointestinal tract, liver muscle sampled PS-NPs analysis means size exclusion chromatography coupled high resolution mass spectrometry. detected all samples fish, higher concentrations than muscle, whereas no tract. Nevertheless, did not induce changes hematology parameters nor cortisol glucose levels plasma. On other hand, even relatively low concentration was able cause DNA damage, measured an increase erythrocyte nuclear abnormalities, suggesting can reach cell nucleus genotoxicity. These results show first time find way where bioaccumulate, but do alter survival hematological or physiological stress indicators. accumulation represent threat human health as possible route small-sized plastics. present model species open windows future studies edible species.
