High-temperature stress is a key factor that reduces the yields of edible fungi. Auricularia heimuer (A. heimuer) nutrient-rich fungus widely cultivated in China. In this study, we analyzed physiological, transcriptomic, and metabolomic results A. (variety “Hei29”) under high-temperature stress. Our findings revealed high temperatures (30 °C 35 °C) significantly reduced hyphal growth, increased malondialdehyde content antioxidant enzyme activity, enhanced accumulation secondary metabolites, such as phenolic compounds flavonoids. A total 15 candidate genes potentially responsive to were identified through transcriptomic analysis, including those involved regulating defense, heat shock response, sugar metabolism, amino acid accumulating metabolites. Metabolomic analysis three metabolites stress, kinetin, flavonoids, caffeic acid, well several metabolic pathways, nucleotide ABC transporters, cofactor biosynthesis. These mechanisms help mitigate oxidative damage cellular structures energy deficits caused by elevated temperatures, enabling maintain stability, function, growth This study first explore molecular mechanism response The provide valuable insights into tolerance heimuer, highlighting potential targets for developing heat-tolerant strains industrial application.

In this study, we investigated the adaptation of yellow-sand-substrate Morchella cultivation in desert fringe and its effect on soil physicochemical properties microbial communities. The qPCR high-throughput sequencing with null modeling analyzed diversity, networks, assembly under nutrient supplementation, linking changes to dynamics. results showed that yellow sand substrate can be planted area, as bags resulted a yield 691 g/m2 fruit units. Cultivation could significantly increase substrate, such organic matter (SOM), total nitrogen (TN), ammonium (NH4+−N), amount carbon (MBC/MBN). fungal community was dominated by Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, Firmicutes, Bacteroidota, Actinobacteriota. RDA analysis Ascomycota Proteobacteria were positively correlated NH4+−N, MBN, SOM, MBC, acting potassium (AK), TN, C/N. promoted positive correlation-dominant network pattern substrate. bag treatment reduced bacterial complexity while enhancing complexity, connectivity stability, accompanied significant increases Proteobacteria, Cladosporium, Thermomyces relative abundances during until original degradation. Deterministic processes communities, morel drove toward heterogeneous selection processes. study revealed economic value application potential improving sandy soil, which is great importance for practical mushrooms desert.

As global climates shift, plants are increasingly exposed to biotic and abiotic stresses that adversely affect their growth development, ultimately reducing agricultural productivity. To counter these stresses, produce secondary metabolites (SMs), which critical biochemical essential compounds serve as primary defense mechanisms. These diverse compounds, such alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolic nitrogen/sulfur-containing act natural protectants against herbivores, pathogens, oxidative stress. Despite the well-documented protective roles of SMs, precise mechanisms by environmental factors modulate accumulation under different stress conditions not fully understood. This review provides comprehensive insights into recent advances in understanding functions SMs plant emphasizing regulatory networks biosynthetic pathways. Furthermore, we explored unique contributions individual SM classes responses while integrating findings across entire spectrum diversity, providing a resilience multiple conditions. Finally, highlight emerging strategies for harnessing improve crop through genetic engineering present novel solutions enhance sustainability changing climate.

Abstract This study aimed to elucidate the influence of various culture medium components, including carbon sources, nitrogen inorganic salts, suspension agents, and temperature, on mycelial growth characteristics Phallus dongsun . Employing single-factor experiments response surface methodology within glass Petri dishes, research identified that carrot powder, soybean ZnSO 4 notably enhanced proliferation aerial mycelium, significantly augmenting rate P. mycelium. The resultant mycelium was observed be dense, robust, fluffy in texture. In particular, markedly accelerated rate. Furthermore, xanthan gum found effectively modulate medium’s viscosity, ensuring a stable facilitating nutrient equilibrium. optimal cultivation temperature determined 25°C, with ceasing below 5°C perishing at temperatures exceeding 35°C. composition established as follows: wheat starch 5 g/l, powder 7.50 glucose 10 0.71 NH Cl 0.68 0.5 agar 20 g/l. Under these optimized conditions, exhibited rapid (1.04 ± 0.14 mm/day), characterized by thick, well-developed structure. investigation provides theoretical foundation for conservation, strain selection, breeding
