As an irreversible and complex degenerative physiological process, the treatment for aging seems strategically necessary, polysaccharides play important roles against owing to their abundant bioactivities. In this paper, antioxidant anti-aging activities of Flammulina velutipes (FPS) its sulfated FPS (SFPS) on d-galactose-induced mice were investigated. The in vitro demonstrated that SFPS had strong reducing power superior scavenging effects 2, 2-diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH), hydroxyl radicals chelating Fe2+. vivo animal experiments manifested showed protective abilities by increasing enzyme activities, decreasing lipid peroxidation, improving inflammatory response ameliorating anile condition mice. Furthermore, structural analysis was investigated through FT-IR, NMR, HPLC analysis, results indicated a homogeneous heteropolysaccharide with weight-average molecular weight 2.81 × 103 Da. has also changed characteristic functional groups monosaccharide composition compared FPS. These suggested modification could enhance anti-oxidation, F. polysaccharides, which may provide references development foods natural medicines.

This study investigated the effects of dietary chitosan oligosaccharides (COS) supplementation on growth performance; corticosterone, hormone, and insulin-like factor-1 concentration; relative organ weight; liver function; meat quality; muscle glycolytic metabolism; oxidative status in yellow-feather broilers under heat stress. A total 108 35-day-old Chinese (BW, 470.31 ± 13.15 g) was randomly allocated to 3 treatments as follow: control group, basal diet raised normal temperature (24°C); HS cycle stress (34°C from 10:00 18:00 24°C for rest time); HSC with 200 mg/kg COS Each treatment had 6 replication pens per pen. Results indicated that decreased ADG, ADFI, gain:feed ratio, weight thymus, bursa Fabricius, pancreas, proventriculus, gizzard, liver, hormone concentration, pH24h, glycogen content, superoxide dismutase glutathione peroxidase activity, well increased alanine aminotransferase aspartate level, cooking loss, lactate malondialdehyde content. Compared group higher lower serum In conclusion, results suggested could be used an effective feed additive maintain performance, function, quality, metabolism, The improved quality is possibly through reducing glycolysis metabolism improving by

Surface active agents (SAAs) are molecules with the capacity to adsorb solid surfaces and/or fluid interfaces, a property that allows them act as multifunctional ingredients (e.g., wetting and dispersion agents, emulsifiers, foaming anti-foaming lubricants, etc.) in widerange of consumer products various industrial sectors pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care, detergents, food, etc.). Given their widespread utilization, there is continuously growing interest explore role (relevant promoting human health) how such information can be utilized order synthesize better chemical derivatives. In this review article, weaimed provide updated on synthetic biological (biosurfactants) SAAs health-promoting properties anti-microbial, anti-oxidant, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer anti-aging) an attempt define some underlying mechanism(s) by which they exert properties.

The market demand for marine-based cosmetics has shown a tremendous growth rate in the last decade. Marine resources represent promising source of novel bioactive compounds new cosmetic ingredient development. However, concern about sustainability also becomes an issue that should be considered developing ingredients. fisheries industry (e.g., fishing, farming, and processing) generates large amounts leftovers containing valuable substances, which are potent sources cosmeceutical Several substances could extracted from marine by-product can utilized as to develop products. Those collagen fish waste chitin crustacean waste) anti-photoaging, anti-wrinkle, skin barrier, hair care From this perspective, review aims approach potential active ingredients derived by-products discuss possible activity those promoting human beauty. The imbalance of reactive oxygen species is the main cause in aging, accompanied by oxidative stress. As most abundant human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), 2'-Fucosyllactose (2'-FL) has been confirmed to have great properties immunity regulation and anti-inflammatory. research on 2'-FL focused infants currently, while there no related report for elderly. A d-galactose-induced accelerated aging model was established explore protective effect intestines brain mice. In this study, significantly reduced stress damage inflammation mice, potentially regulating sirtuin1 (SIRT1)-related nuclear factor E2-related 2 (Nrf2) pathways. addition, improved gut mucosal barrier function increased content short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) intestine. microbiota analysis indicated that mainly abundance probiotics like Akkermansia Moreover, inhibited apoptosis brains also increasing expression SIRT1. These findings provided a basis learning benefits process.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a type of interstitial pneumonia characterized by chronic and progressive with an unknown etiology. Previous pharmacological studies have shown that Sanghuangporus sanghuang possesses various beneficial properties including immunomodulatory, hepatoprotective, antitumor, antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective effects. This study used bleomycin (BLM)-induced IPF mouse model to illustrate the possible benefits SS in ameliorating IPF. BLM was administered on day 1 establish model, through oral gavage for 21 d. Hematoxylin eosin (H&E) Masson's trichrome staining results showed significantly reduced tissue damage decreased expression. We observed treatment resulted substantial lowering level pro-inflammatory cytokines like TGF-β, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 as well MPO. In addition, we notable increase glutathione (GSH) levels. Western blot analysis it reduces inflammatory factors (TWEAK, iNOS, COX-2), MAPK (JNK, p-ERK, p-38), fibrosis-related molecules (TGF-β, SMAD3, fibronectin, collagen, α-SMA, MMP2, MMP9), apoptosis (p53, p21, Bax), autophagy (Beclin-1, LC3A/B-I/II, p62), notably increases caspase 3, Bcl-2, antioxidant (Catalase, GPx3, SOD-1) alleviates regulating TLR4/NF-κB/MAPK, Keap1/Nrf2/HO-1, CaMKK/AMPK/Sirt1, TGF-β/SMAD3 pathways. Central presbycusis is caused by degradation of the auditory centre during ageing. Its main characteristics are difficulties in understanding language and localizing sound. Presbycusis an increasingly critical public health problem, but underlying molecular mechanism has not been fully elucidated. Ferroptosis a form regulated cell death iron- reactive oxygen species-induced lipid peroxidation. related to many pathological processes, whether it participates degeneration system remains unclear. To investigate this, we measured iron levels simulated ageing model established addition d-galactose (d-gal). We found, for first time, that accumulated within cells ultrastructural features ferroptosis appeared cortex with These changes were accompanied upregulation regulatory protein 2 (IRP-2), which led increase transferrin receptor 1 (TfR-1), thus increasing entry into potentially leading ferroptosis. In addition, malondialdehyde (MDA) content occurrence mitochondrial DNA common deletions (CDs) increased, neuron appeared, glutathione (GSH) superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity decreased. Furthermore, found treatment chelator deferoxamine (DFO) knockdown IRP-2 both relieved process, achieving partial protective effect delay summary, describe here discovery age-related deposition may be associated neurodegeneration.
