Abstract Background Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury (MIRI) is an important complication of reperfusion therapy, and has a lack effective prevention treatment methods. Since antiquity, numerous advantages of olive oil and its by-products have been recognized in various domains, including cooking, skincare, healthcare. Extra virgin is a crucial component the Mediterranean diet; several compounds exert antioxidant, anti-proliferative, anti-angiogenic pro-apoptotic effects against variety cancers, also affect cellular metabolism, targeting cancer cells through their metabolic derangements. Numerous tree parts, leaves, can contribute metabolites useful to human health. Olive mill waste water (OMWW), dark pungent liquid residue produced vast amounts during extraction, contains high organic matter concentrations that may seriously contaminate soil surrounding waters if not managed properly. However, OMWW rich source phytochemicals with health benefits. In ancient Rome, farmers would employ what was known as amurca, mulch-like by-product production, for many purposes applications. Several studies investigated chemopreventive activities extracts. The most prevalent polyphenol extracts hydroxytyrosol (HT). Verbascoside oleuperin are abundant. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) cause 41 million deaths annually, accounting for 74% of global fatalities. The so-called Mediterranean diet, with its especially significant consumption olive oil, has shown promising results in reducing the risk developing NCDs, such as cardiovascular, liver, or bone diseases. In context nutritional health benefits foods, phenolic compounds oil's main components, oleuropein (OLE) and hydroxytyrosol (HT), have been to possess different beneficial effects. However, no systematic review evaluated health-promoting effects OLE HT until now. Consequently, this analyzed 12 human randomized controlled trials (RCTs), involving 683 participants, assess supplements, pure compounds, enriched foods containing regarding systemic outcomes, including CVD factors, liver parameters, bone, joint, cognitive health. found contrasting but encouraging results, some studies reporting modulation body weight, lipid profile, glucose metabolism, improvements functions. described dosages forms supplementation, ranging from 5 mg/d 990 mL/d leaf infusion (320.8 mg 11.9 HT), highlighting need further research determine optimal dosing duration. ABSTRACT Introduction With the growing demand for skin‐enhancing products in market, research into edible plants has expanded significantly. Numerous studies have shown that plant extracts rich phytochemicals can effectively improve skin issues such as wrinkles, pigmentation, and dullness. However, clinical focusing on effects of combined ingredients are still limited. Objective This study three known their skin‐beautifying clinically tested functional properties. Methods Sixty healthy subjects were screened randomly divided two groups: a test group (TG) placebo (PG). TG took tablets multi‐plant concentrated powder daily, while PG without active ingredients. The lasted 12 weeks. Plasma Trolox equivalent antioxidant capacity (TEAC), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) measured at week 0 (W0), 8 (W8), (W12). Skin brightness ( L * value), tone (Individual Typological Angle (ITA°)), erythema spots, wrinkles assessed 4 (W4), Results showed significant improvements all markers blood after consuming compound ingredient compared to p < 0.01). value ITA° significantly increased from weeks 0.1). spots decreased W8 W12 While noticeable reductions within 0.1), there no differences PG.
