The acceleration of aging is a risk factor for numerous diseases, and diet has been identified as an especially effective anti-aging method. Currently, research on the relationship between dietary nutrient intake accelerated remains limited, with existing studies focusing small number individual nutrients. Comprehensive single mixed effects nutrients not conducted. This study aimed to comprehensively explore intakes, both singly in combination, aging. Data this were extracted from 2015–2018 National Health Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES). was measured by phenotypic age acceleration. Linear regression (linear), restricted cubic spline (RCS) (nonlinear), weighted quantile sum (WQS) (mixed effect) models used association A total 4692 participants aged ≥ 20 included study. In fully adjusted models, intakes 16 negatively associated (protein, vitamin E, A, beta-carotene, B1, B2, B6, K, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, potassium, fiber, alcohol). Intakes sugars, C, caffeine, alcohol showed significant nonlinear associations Additionally, Single well may mitigate Moderately increasing specific maintaining balance be key strategies prevent

Water-soluble B vitamins, mainly obtained through dietary intake of fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy products, act as co-factors in various biochemical processes, including DNA synthesis, repair, methylation, energy metabolism. These vitamins include B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin), B3 (Niacin), B5 (Pantothenic Acid), B6 (Pyridoxine), B7 (Biotin), B9 (Folate), B12 (Cobalamin). Recent studies have shown that besides their fundamental physiological roles, influence oncogenic metabolic pathways, glycolysis (Warburg effect), mitochondrial function, nucleotide biosynthesis. Although deficiencies these are associated with several complications, emerging evidence suggests excessive specific may also contribute to cancer progression interfere therapy due impaired genetic functions. This review discusses the tumor-suppressive tumor-progressive roles cancer. It explores recent on a comprehensive understanding relationship between vitamin metabolism underscores need for further research determine optimal balance prevention therapy.

ABSTRACT Sarcopenia (SP), an age‐associated condition marked by muscle weakness and loss has been strongly connected with metabolic factors according to substantial evidence. Nevertheless, the causal correlation between SP serum metabolites, biological signaling pathways involved, is still not well understood. We performed a bidirectional two‐sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis examine relationships 1091 levels 309 ratios of metabolites traits, alongside investigating relevant pathways. Additionally, we explored differential expression plasma potential in animal model SP. When was utilized as outcome, identified 11 robust associations seven metabolite levels/ratios SP‐related traits using Bonferroni's correction (threshold: p < 0.05). verified stable association glycine validation. As for reverse MR analysis, there were strong remaining after multiple contrast correction. pathway showed that metabolism, insulin resistance, cAMP may contribute connection validation various datasets observations metabolomics suggests metabolism Our results indicate biosignaling could serve important circulatory biomarkers screening prevention clinical settings. they represent molecules future exploration mechanisms selection drug targets.

Background Sarcopenia is associated with oxidative stress. The Oxidative Balance Score (OBS) commonly used to assess dietary and lifestyle exposure However, few studies in the literature have assessed correlation between sarcopenia OBS. Aim This study aimed association OBS among young middle-aged adults United States using data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). Method Weighted logistic regression analysis was investigate based on NHANES 2011–2018. Subgroup analyses were performed observe consistency of outcomes, stability results tested sensitivity analyses. Result final sample included 5,525 American adults. A higher a lower risk sarcopenia. In fully adjusted model, second (odds ratio [OR]: 0.62, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.41, 0.94; p = 0.023), third (OR: 0.50; CI: 0.34, 0.74; < 0.001), highest quartiles 0.18; 0.11, 0.28; 0.001) risks when compared lowest quartile. consistent across both scores. Our subgroup revealed no significant differences subgroups variables interaction analysis. Sensitivity similar results. Conclusion showed that antioxidant may decrease developing Higher scores indicate greater protection against sarcopenia; however, further clinical are warranted confirm these findings.

Pyridoxal 5′-phosphate (PLP) is highly valuable in food and medicine. However, achieving the efficient biosynthesis of PLP remains challenging. Here, a salvage pathway using acid phosphatase from Salmonella typhi (StAPase) pyridoxine oxidase Escherichia coli (EcPNPO) as enzymes was established for first time to synthesize (PN) pyrophosphate (PPi). StAPase identified rate-limiting enzyme. Two protein modification strategies were developed based on PN phosphorylation mechanism: (1) improving binding into (2) enhancing hydrophobicity StAPase's substrate pocket. The kcat/Km optimal mutant M7 4.9 times higher than that wild type. detailed mechanism performance improvement analyzed. Under catalysis EcPNPO, high-yielding strain 14.5 ± 0.55 g/L engineered with productivity 1.0 0.02 g/(L h) (the highest date). study suggests promising method industrial-scale production.
