The development of multifunctional dressing materials with beneficial properties for wound healing has become a recent focus research. Many studies are being conducted to incorporate active substances into dressings positively impact processes. Researchers have investigated various natural additives, including plant extracts and apiproducts such as royal jelly, enhance the dressings. In this study, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)-based hydrogel modified jelly were developed analyzed their sorption ability, wettability, surface morphology, degradation, mechanical properties. results showed that crosslinking agent content had an on physicochemical hydrogels potential use innovative materials. This study swelling behavior, containing jelly. majority tested gradual increase in ratio time. pH incubated fluids varied depending type fluid used, distilled water having greatest decrease due release organic acids from samples relatively homogeneous surface, no dependence between composition morphology was observed. Natural additives like can modify hydrogels, increasing elongation percentage while decreasing tensile strength. These findings suggest possible future applications fields requiring high flexibility elasticity.

Wound healing, particularly for chronic wounds, presents a considerable difficulty due to differences in biochemical and cellular processes that occur different types of wounds. Recent technological breakthroughs have notably advanced the understanding diagnostic therapeutic approaches wound healing. The evolution care has seen transition from traditional textile dressings variety alternatives, including self-healing hydrogels, hydrofibers, foams, hydrocolloids, environment responsive dressings, growth factor-based therapy, bioengineered skin substitutes, stem cell gene therapy. Technological advancements, such as 3D printing electronic (e-skin) contribute customization Despite these effectively managing wounds remains challenging. This necessitates development treatments consider performance, risk–benefit balance, cost-effectiveness. review discusses innovative strategies healing Incorporating biomarkers into coupled with corresponding biosensors drug delivery formulations, enables theranostic approach treatment Furthermore, integrating power sources user interfaces like near-field communication, radio frequency identification, Bluetooth enhances real-time monitoring on-demand delivery. It also provides thorough evaluation advantages, patient compliance, costs, durability emphasizing smart formulations their preparation methods.
