Phycocyanin is a pigment–protein complex from the group of phycobiliproteins obtained Spirulina (Arthrospira platensis), with possibilities for various applications in food and pharmaceutical technologies. The study of synergistic and antagonistic antioxidant interactions is particularly important for pharmaceutical food industries. application methods like 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging assay highly suited the quantification activity single compounds or plant extracts foods. This study investigates the extraction, identification, and assessment of antioxidant antihypertensive potential soluble bound phenolics from moth bean. The yields were quantified as 0.15 ± 0.03 mg GAE/g 0.28 0.04 GAE/g, respectively. Overall, 9 major 15 identified crude fractions. Soluble exhibited higher (EC50: DPPH: 17.25 0.77; ABTS: 20.13 0.25; FRAP: 3.3 μg/mL) well a superior angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) along with renin (IC50: 0.38; 2.3 μg/mL, respectively) inhibitory activity compared to phenolics. Notably, kaempferol displayed highest ACE inhibition via interacting key amino acids active site (His 387 Glu 411) Zn ion ACE, while gentisic acid by S1 pocket (Asp 32, Ser 76) renin. These findings highlight their therapeutic relevance in hypertension oxidative stress management.
