In-service physics teachers’ content knowledge: a critical reflection on the case of the upthrust concept

Physics

explores

Predict-Observe-Explain
(POE)
model
assess
in-service
educators'
understanding
"Upthrust."
The
research
involved
23
participants
from
professional
development
programme
Mauritius.
Data
were
collected
through
task-based
worksheets
focus
group
discussions
validated
using
Rasch
modelling.
findings
indicate
that
while
are
somewhat
familiar

their

for

accurate
predictions

detailed
explanations,

when
disparities
between
predicted
observed
outcomes
occur.

We
