South African universities were closed nationally during the COVID-19 pandemic. On-campus learning was suspended, and on-campus student accommodation from March 2020, with phased returns to campus continuing until early 2022. The study intended identify categories of students whose well-being most affected by pandemic provide empirical evidence inform initiatives support these better. An online cross-sectional survey completed 1 562 respondents studying at a university explored students’ experiences pandemic, focusing on well-being, subjective social status, sense coherence, future anxiety. Multivariable regression models showed younger age (18 21 years), female gender, low isiZulu English home language significantly associated lower well-being. Blended learning is a growing phenomenon in higher education after the COVID-19 pandemic (the educational process moved entirely online), and way prepared for blended mode universities. Although research on rise, fewer studies regard university students’ behavior environments. This study aims to investigate perceptions shortly pandemic. A 19-item questionnaire was administered 176 students Greece. Students, general, expressed positive perceptions. Higher percentages of agreement were associated with role audio-visual online resources facilitating supporting independent student motivation education. The COVID-19 pandemic is considered as a turning point that has impacted the digital transformation of higher education. However, link between students’ mobile phone practices and university digitalization not sufficiently or explicitly discussed. purpose this study to provide evidence about for academic purposes, contribute debate regarding post-pandemic digitalization. participants were 60 students studying in Greek university, data collected via an open-ended questionnaire, descriptive content analysis was used examine qualitative data. Students mainly use their phones information searches (e.g., assignments, videos, photos, graphs, simulations, online dictionaries, scientific papers), easy quick access e-classes course material/slides) faculty’s site, communication with peers queries, sharing educational resources) tutors. Self-Regulated and Mobile-Mediated Learning in Blended Tertiary Education Environments: Student Insights from a Pilot Study DOI Open Access

Despite the rapid rise in number of blended education studies after COVID-19 pandemic, topics self-regulated and mobile-mediated learning tertiary environments is an open research issue. The purpose this pilot study to identify students’ perceived enablers/facilitators barriers environments. Nineteen undergraduate postgraduate students were interviewed Greece, data analyzed through descriptive analysis. According findings, most participants believed that helps their autonomy when they are facilitated by ownership of, ease use, familiarity with mobile devices. Major enablers/facilitators, but also to, contexts course structure (mainly, online component education, appropriateness activities, educational material), individual (educators’ knowledge, skills, confidence, attitudes, concerns) technological (infrastructure internet connectivity) factors.
