Aim: We aim to explore the blood-based sex-differential DNA methylation profiles in patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Methods: The same analytical pipeline and meta-analysis procedure were applied 254 AD 261 matched healthy controls (HC) from four datasets identify sex-differentially methylated positions (sex-DMPs) their biological functions. further reviewed brain-based sex-DMPs previously reported intersected sex-DMPs. This study investigates the relationship between physical activity (PA) levels and DNA methylation (DNAm)-predicted epigenetic clocks in a U.S. population sample (n = 948, mean age 62, 49% female). Eight were analyzed, revealing that higher PA significantly associated with younger biological ages across all indicators, strongest effects observed for SkinBloodAge LinAge. Multivariable linear regression models, adjusted sociodemographic lifestyle factors, highlighted potential of to reduce ageing. Subgroup analyses indicated these associations more pronounced among non-Hispanic whites, individuals BMI 25-30, former smokers, suggesting impact varies different groups.
