in
human
diet
thus
important
for
nutritional
security.
Rich
diversity
vegetables
help
fulfil
the
nutrient
requirement
humans.
However,
content
has
been
declined
process
breeding
high
yielding
cultivars.
In
addition,
several
not
present
vegetables,
but
there
is
a
possibility
where
can
be
made
full
nutrition
through
biofortification.
Genetic
biofortification
achieved
programmes
by
using
nutrition-rich
genotypes.
On
other
hand,
genome
editing
technology
provides
opportunity
to
modify
plants
enhance
also
synthesize
new
that
occurring
naturally.
Besides
nutrition,
quality
one

as

consumers,

Abstract
Background:
The
emergence
of
multidrug-resistant
bacteria
because
poor
understanding
the
issue
and
misuse
antibiotics
has
become
global
health
concern.
Therefore,
discovery
novel
antibacterial
drugs
is
urgently
needed.
New
compounds
may
be
found
in
Bacillus
species,
which
are
abundant
sand
dune
ecosystems.
Herein,
we
examined
samples
from
Parangkusumo
coastal
dunes
Indonesia.
Methods:
Samples
were
collected
three
areas
(the
area
closest
to
sea,
core
dunes,
farthest
sea).
inoculated
on
Luria
Bertani
agar.
Morphological
molecular
identification
was
performed
basis
16S
rRNA.
samples’
antimicrobial
activity
evaluated
with
disc
diffusion
method
compared
that
opportunistic
pathogenic
bacteria.
Results:
Five
species
successfully
isolated
dunes.
To
our
knowledge,
this
first
report
isolation
aryabhattai
All
showed
against
B.
velezensis
subtilis
Gram-positive
bacteria,
whereas
megaterium
Gram-negative
spizizenii
toward
Conclusion:
Indonesia,
all
crude
,
highest
growth-inhibition
E.
coli
P.
aeruginosa
cereus
S.
aureus
respectively.
