Development of stimuli-responsive theranostics is great importance for precise cancer diagnosis and treatment. Herein, bovine serum albumin (BSA) modified bismuth nanoraspberries (Bi-BSA NRs) are developed as theranostic agents multimodal imaging chemo-photothermal combination therapy. The Bi-BSA NRs synthesized in aqueous phase via a facile reduction method using Bi2O3 nanospheres the sacrificial template. morphology, biocompatibility, photothermal effect, drug loading/releasing abilities, chemotherapy synergistic therapy efficacy, capacities have been investigated. results show that possess multiple unique features including (i) raspberry-like morphology with high specific surface area (∼52.24 m2·g–1) large cavity (total pore volume ∼0.30 cm3·g–1), promising loading capacity (∼69 wt %); (ii) dual-stimuli responsive release, triggered by acidic pH NIR laser irradiation; (iii) infrared thermal (IRT), photoacoustic (PA) X-ray computed tomography (CT) trimodality CT contrast enhanced efficiency ∼66.7 HU·mL·mg–1; (iv) 100% tumor elimination through Our work highlights potentials versatile

Photothermal therapy triggered by near-infrared light in the second biowindow (NIR-II) has attracted extensive interest owing to its deeper penetration depth of biological tissue, lower photon scattering, and higher maximum permissible exposure. In spite noble metals showing great potential as photothermal agents due tunable localized surface plasmon resonance, applications platinum are rarely explored. Herein, a monocomponent hollow Pt nanoframe ("Pt Spirals"), whose superstructure is assembled with three levels (3D frame, 2D layered shells, 1D nanowires), reported. Spirals exhibit outstanding conversion efficiency (52.5%) molar extinction coefficients (228.7 m2 mol-1 ) NIR-II, which much than those solid cubes. Simulations indicate that unique can be significant cause for improving both adsorption effect simultaneously NIR-II. The excellent achieved subsequently verified vitro vivo experiments, along superb heat-resistance properties, photostability, prominent on computed tomography (CT) imaging, demonstrating promising effective theranostic platforms CT imaging-guided therapy.
