Chemical burns are a significant concern in Ukraine, with growing interest new treatments. Carbon-based nanoparticles, due to their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties, have shown promise for wound healing. This study aimed evaluate the efficacy of carbon dots (CD) derived from citric acid urea promoting healing both acidic- alkali-induced rat model. The results indicated that acid-induced were slower heal exhibited more inflammation compared same initial injury level. Daily application CD dressings significantly reduced burn area during first week, i.e. accelerated process, although treatment was less effective burns. Both types led increased white blood cell counts, left shift, segmented neutrophils by day 7, signaling early acute inflammation. notably leukocytosis while preserving neutrophilia lymphocyte release on days 7 14. Furthermore, prevented post-burn anemia maintaining erythrocyte integrity. immune system's response levels consistent process skin histopathology.Overall, healing, particularly alkali burns, had systemic effect inflammatory responses.
