Due to increasing food-safety issues, exploiting efficient approaches for food quality assessment and instrumentation has attracted concerns worldwide. Herein, a smart evaluation system based on fluorescent metal-organic framework (MOF) is developed real-time visual monitoring of freshness. Via post-synthetic modification, ratiometric MOF probe constructed by covalently coupling fluorescein 5-isothiocyanate (5-FITC) with NH2 -rich lanthanide MOF. The probes exhibit dual-emissive-responsive biogenic amine, resulting in an increase FITC emission along decrease Eu3+ accompanied clear distinguishable color transition from orange red green. After doping the flexible substrate, obtained composite film can be integrated smartphone-based portable platform easily. It proved that this used on-site inspection freshness raw fish samples. This work develops MOF-based as novel application monitoring, which not only enormous economic value but also holds great public health significance.

Abstract With the booming of information technology, considerable progress has been witnessed in storage carriers, accompanied by soaring capacity. 3D codes as an emerging carrier attracted wide attention. However, it is challenging for conventional to transform their encoded information, restricting applications. Due rich color characteristics and various stimuli responsiveness, fluorescent materials can be utilized construct stimuli‐responsive code systems that exhibit pattern changes upon specific external stimuli, thereby realizing transformation. According type several kinds are classified summarized, including pH ion light electricity time some separate multiple responsiveness. This review summarizes recent systems, elaborates on how they realize transformation, analyzes potential applications, puts forward perspectives further development this field. The authors anticipate provide guidelines design novel promote science technology.
