Adding low‐content solvent additive para‐xylene into main carbon disulfide induces high‐density fibers networks low crystallinity in bottom D18 layer, this further suppresses the large phase separation between Y6 SEBS top layer. Moreover, incorporating solid 1,3‐dibromo‐5‐chlorobenzene better compatibility can promote dispersions to form smaller ordered domains matrix. Interfacial layers (ILs) are prerequisites to form the selective charge transport for high-performance organic photovoltaics (OPVs) but mostly result in considerable parasitic absorption loss. Trimming ILs down a mono-molecular level via self-assembled monolayer is an effective strategy mitigate However, such suffers from inferior electrical contact with low surface coverage on rough surfaces and poor producibility. To address these issues, here, interlayer (SAI) developed, which involves thin layer of 2-6 nm full substrate both covalent van der Waals bonds by using molecule 2-(9H-carbazol-9-yl) (2PACz). Via facile spin coating without further rinsing annealing process, it not only optimizes optical properties OPVs, enables world-record efficiency 20.17% (19.79% certified) also simplifies tedious processing procedure. Moreover, SAI especially useful improving absorbing selectivity semi-transparent record light utilization 5.34%. This work provides optimize OPVs solar window applications.

Abstract Given that bromine possesses similar properties but extra merits of easily synthesizing and polarizing comparing to homomorphic fluorine chlorine, it is quite surprising very rare high-performance brominated small molecule acceptors have been reported. This may be caused by undesirable film morphologies stemming from relatively larger steric hindrance excessive crystallinity bromides. To maximize the advantages bromides while circumventing weaknesses, three (CH20, CH21 CH22) are constructed with stepwise brominating on central units rather than conventional end groups, thus enhancing intermolecular packing, dielectric constant them without damaging favorable packing through groups. Consequently, PM6:CH22-based binary organic solar cells render highest efficiency 19.06% for acceptors, more excitingly, a record-breaking 15.70% when further thickening active layers ~500 nm. By exhibiting such acceptor, our work highlights great potential achieving delicately brominating.

Abstract Sequentially deposited organic solar cells (SD‐OSCs) have attracted great attention owing to their ability in achieving a more favorable, vertically phase‐separated morphology avoid the accumulation of counter charges at absorber/transporting layer interfaces. However, processing SD‐OSCs is still quite challenging preventing penetration small‐molecule acceptors into polymer donor via erosion or swelling. Herein, solid additives (SAs) with varied electrostatic potential distributions and steric hinderance are introduced investigate effect evaporation dynamics selective interaction on vertical component distribution. Multiple modelings indicate that π – dominates interactions between aromatic SAs active components. Among them, p ‐dibromobenzene shows stronger while 2‐chloronaphthalene (2‐CN) interacts preferably acceptor. Combining depth‐dependent morphological study aided by multiple X‐ray scattering methods, it concluded can drive stronger‐interaction upward surface, having minor impact overall molecular packing. Ultimately, 2‐CN‐treated devices reduced acceptor concentration bottom surface deliver high power conversion efficiency 19.2%, demonstrating effectiveness applying improve OSCs using proper structure.
