Abstract
An
attempted
aryl
selenium-catalyzed
formation
of
cis-chlorohydrins
from
alkenes
was
unsuccessful
but
led
to
an
electrochemical
investigation
for
the
trans-selective
chloroformyloxylation
cyclic
and
acyclic
in
moderate
good
yields.
Interestingly,
when
1,1-disubstituted
were
used,
corresponding
vinyl
chloride
derivatives
obtained,
application
1-phenylcyclohex-1-ene
allyl
derivative.

Its

sales

estimated
at
tens
millions
US
dollars.
Traditional
chemical
synthesis
thiram
accompanied
formation
significant
amount
waste,
including
inorganic
salts,
thioacids,
polysulfides,
etc.
Herein,
we
report
an
advanced
method
its
structural
analogues
production,
which
based
on
usage
electric
current
as
key
participant.
Such
electrochemical
approach
avoids
application
oxidant
required
previous
processes
can
be
efficiently
scaled
up.
All
these
characteristics
make
developed
synthetic
quite
promising
both
economically
ecologically.
