Recent advancements in DNA and RNA bioengineering have paved the way for developing stimuli-responsive nanostructures with remarkable potential across various applications. These nanostructures, crafted through sophisticated techniques, can dynamically precisely respond to both physiological physical stimuli, including nucleic acids (DNA/RNA), adenosine triphosphate, proteins, ions, small molecules, pH, light, temperature. They offer high sensitivity specificity, making them ideal applications such as biomarker detection, gene therapy, controlled targeted drug delivery. In this review, we summarize methods used assemble versatile DNA/RNA discuss their emerging structural biology biomedicine, biosensing, delivery, therapeutics. Finally, highlight challenges opportunities rational design of these intelligent bioengineered nanostructures.
