Four trials were conducted to establish a protein and amino acid requirement model for layer chicks over 0–6 weeks by using the analytical factorization method. In trial 1, total of 90 one-day-old Jing Tint 6 with similar body weight selected determine growth curve, carcass feather deposition, patterns proteins. 2 3, 24 seven-day-old thirty-five-day-old maintenance requirements, pattern, net utilization rate. 4, ten-day-old thirty-eight-day-old standard terminal ileal digestibility acids. The fed either corn–soybean basal diet, low nitrogen or nitrogen-free diet throughout different trials. Gompertz equation showed that there is functional relationship between age, described as BWt(g) = 2669.317 × exp(−4.337 exp(−0.019t)). Integration test results gave comprehensive dynamic could accurately calculate weekly requirements chicks. By applying model, it was found during 6-week period 21.15, 20.54, 18.26, 18.77, 17.79, 16.51, respectively. model-predicted follows: Aspartic (0.992–1.284), Threonine (0.601–0.750), Serine (0.984–1.542), Glutamic (1.661–1.925), Glycine (0.992–1.227), Alanine (0.909–0.961), Valine (0.773–1.121), Cystine (0.843–1.347), Methionine (0.210–0.267), Isoleucine (0.590–0.715), Leucine (0.977–1.208), Tyrosine (0.362–0.504), Phenylalanine (0.584–0.786), Histidine (0.169–0.250), Lysine (0.3999–0.500), Arginine (0.824–1.147), Proline (1.114–1.684), Tryptophan (0.063–0.098). conclusion, this study constructed brooding period, providing an important insight improve precise feeding through calculation.

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of butyrate, butyric glycerides (BG) and their combination with sodium selenite (SeNa) or hydroxy-selenomethionine (OH-SeMet) on performance egg quality laying hens in post-peak period as well potential mechanism. A total 900 45-week-old Hy-Line brown were randomly allocated 5 treatment groups (n = 10 replicates/diet, 18 hens/replicate). The fed basal diet supplemented 0.3 mg/kg selenium from SeNa (Control), Control plus 240 acid coated butyrate (CB), glycerides, OH-SeMet (CB+OH-SeMet) (BG+OH-SeMet), respectively, for 20 weeks. Serum, liver, isthmus, uterus, jejunum collected at end trial biochemistry, histology, redox status, gene expression analysis. Compared Control, diets BG, CB+OH-SeMet BG+OH-SeMet increased (p < 0.05) average weight (0.6-2.2 %), while only (7.1 %) egg-laying rate (4.6 decreased feed/egg ratio (5.0 throughout whole experiment. Furthermore, reduced content IL-6 alanine aminotransferase (15.4-32.5 elevated IgA, IgY, IgM protein (18.7-26.8 serum comparison Control. Notably, dietary supplementation performed more effective antioxidant capacity decreasing malondialdehyde (16.4-27.9 increasing activity glutathione peroxidase (17.6-36.3 various tissues. Further experiment revealed that regulated lipid metabolism by Carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1A (CPT1A) Lipoprotein lipase (LPL) liver. In conclusion, BG could improve via enhancement regulation metabolism.

Abstract Background AFB 1 -8,9-exo-epoxide (AFBO) is the highly toxic product of Aflatoxin B (AFB ). Glutathione S -transferases (GSTs) play pivotal roles in detoxifying by catalyzing conjugation AFBO with glutathione (GSH). Although there are over 20 GST isozymes that have been identified chicken, involved detoxification process not yet. The objective this study was to determine which played key role . Results A total 17 pcDNA3.1(+)-GST isozyme plasmids were constructed and genes overexpressed 80–2,500,000 folds chicken Leghorn male hepatoma (LMH) cells. Compared treatment, overexpression GSTA2X, GSTA3, GSTT1L, GSTZ1-1, GSTZ1-2 increased cell viability 6.5%–17.0% LMH Moreover, five reduced release lactate dehydrogenase reactive oxygen species 8.8%–64.4%, 57.2%–77.6%, respectively, as well enhanced production AFBO-GSH 15.8%–19.6%, thus mitigating DNA damage induced After comprehensive evaluation various indicators, GSTA2X displayed best effects against expressed Pichia pastoris X-33 its enzymatic properties for GSH showed optimum temperature pH 20–25 °C 7.6–8.6 kinetic parameter V max 0.23 nmol/min/mg Michaelis constant 86.05 μmol/L substrate. Conclusions In conclusion, detoxification, will provide new remediation strategies prevent aflatoxicosis chickens.

The objective of this study was to determine whether hydroxy-selenomethionine (OH-SeMet) exerts better protective effects on sows against heat stress than sodium selenite (SeNa) or seleno-yeast (SeY). A total 60 (Landrace × Yorkshire) were randomly allocated into the three groups and fed a base diet supplemented with SeNa, SeY, OH-SeMet at 0.3 mg Se/kg under condition for reproductive cycle.
