Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), one of the deadliest cancers, presents significant challenges in diagnosis and treatment due to its aggressive, metastatic nature lack early detection methods. A key obstacle PDAC is highly complex tumor environment characterized by dense stroma surrounding tumor, which hinders effective drug delivery. Nanotechnology can offer innovative solutions these challenges, particularly creating novel delivery systems for existing anticancer drugs PDAC, such as gemcitabine paclitaxel. By using customization methods incorporating conjugated targeting ligands, tumor-penetrating peptides, therapeutic nucleic acids, nanoparticle-based enhance solubility, extend circulation time, improve targeting, control release, thereby minimizing side effects toxicity healthy tissues. Moreover, nanoparticles have also shown potential precise diagnostic PDAC. This literature review will delve into targeted mechanisms, pathways, approaches treating pancreatic cancer. Additional emphasis placed on study systems, with a brief mention those clinical trials. Overall, overview illustrates advances nanomedicine, underscoring role transcending constraints conventional therapies diagnostics.

Cancer is one of the leading causes death worldwide. Early cancer detection critical because it can significantly improve treatment outcomes, thus saving lives, reducing suffering, and lessening psychological economic burdens. biomarkers provide varied information about cancer, from early malignancy to decisions on subsequent monitoring. A large variety molecular, histologic, radiographic, or physiological entities features are among common types biomarkers. Sizeable recent methodological progress insights have promoted significant developments in field Here we an overview advances knowledge related biomolecules cellular used for detection. We examine data CAS Content Collection, largest human-curated collection published scientific information, as well biomarker datasets at Excelra, analyze publication landscape research. also discuss evolution key concepts development pipelines, with a particular focus pancreatic liver cancers, which known be remarkably difficult detect particularly high morbidity mortality. The objective paper broad evolving current outline challenges evaluate growth opportunities, order further efforts solving problems that remain. merit this review stems extensive, wide-ranging coverage most up-to-date allowing unique, unmatched breadth analysis in-depth insights.

Pancreatic cancer (PC) is the most lethal type of cancer; it has lowest 5-year survival rate among all other types cancers. More than half PC cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage due to PC’s insidious and non-specific symptoms. Surgery remains efficacious treatment option currently available, but only 10–20% resectable upon diagnosis. As now, sole biomarker approved by United States Food Drug Administration (US-FDA) for carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9); however, its use limited early An increasing number studies have investigated a combination biomarkers. Lately, there been considerable interest in application liquid biopsy, including utilization microRNAs (miRNAs), circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA), cells (CTCs). Screening indicated high-risk patients; on new diagnostic models combined with biomarkers detection also shown promising results terms ability these aid clinicians deciding whether start screening. This review seeks provide concise overview advancements relation existing explore novel strategies PC.

Pancreatic cancer is the 12th most common type of cancer, and sixth leading cause cancer-related mortality, worldwide. Up-to-date statistics on pancreatic would provide us with a better understanding epidemiology identify causative risk factors for prevention this disease. The degree change patterns exposure as well attributable burden, including incidence, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs), prevalence in global regional, by sex, age, year, data extracted from Global Burden Diseases Study (GBD) 2021. All analyses were conducted using linear regression analysis Joinpoint software (version 5.0.1). In 2021, 508,533 new cases have been reported; mortality rate increased to 5.95, 5.12 respectively; DALYs 130.33 year. Besides, cancer-associated rates DALYs, higher males than females. addition, these indicators high SDI (Sociodemographic index) region mean. To date, fasting plasma glucose remained major factor that influenced followed tobacco body mass index (BMI). Results study suggest burden increasing generally, therefore, more attention measures should be taken cope situation.
