Understanding the contribution of neuropeptide-containing neurons to variation in social behavior remains critically important. Galanin has gained increased attention because demonstration that galanin preoptic area (POA) promote mating and parental care mammals. How widespread these mechanisms are among vertebrates essentially unexplored, especially teleost fishes, which comprise nearly one-half living vertebrate species. Teleosts with alternative reproductive tactics exhibit stereotyped patterns diverge widely between individuals within a sex. This includes midshipman have two male morphs. Type I males mate using either acoustic courtship attract females enter nest they guard or cuckoldry during steal fertilizations from nest-holding sneak satellite spawning tactic, whereas type II only cuckold. Using neural activity marker phospho-S6, we show neuron activation courting is not explained by their vocalizations, eggs, defense against cuckolders. increase observed cuckolders morph (none care). Together role mammals, results demonstrate an unexpectedly specific deep-rooted, phylogenetically shared behavioral function for POA neurons. The also point galanin-dependent circuitry as potential substrate evolution divergent phenotypes one sex provide new functional insights into how populations teleosts compare anterior hypothalamus tetrapods. SIGNIFICANCE STATEMENT Studies neuropeptide regulation mainly focused on vasopressin-oxytocin family. Abstract Vocalizations communicate information indicative of behavioural state across divergent social contexts. Yet, how brain regions actively pattern the acoustic features context-specific vocal signals remains largely unexplored. The midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG) is a major site for initiating vocalization among mammals, including primates. We show that PAG neurons in highly fish species ( Porichthys notatus ) are activated distinct patterns during agonistic versus courtship calling by males, with few co-activated non-vocal behaviour, foraging. Pharmacological manipulations within vocally active PAG, but not hindbrain, sites evoke network output to sonic muscles matching temporal and calls, showing balance inhibitory excitatory dynamics likely necessary patterning different call types. Collectively, these findings support hypothesis mammals share functionally comparable nodes some can influence structure signals.

To enhance the accuracy and response speed of risk early warning system, this study develops a novel system that combines Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) clustering algorithm Random Forest (RF) model. Firstly, based on operational theory, market risk, research development financial human resource are selected as primary indicators for enterprise assessment. Secondly, Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) weight method is employed to determine importance these indicators, thereby enhancing model's prediction ability stability. Following this, FCM utilized pre-processing sample data improve efficiency classification. Finally, an improved RF model constructed by optimizing parameters algorithm. The mainly from RESSET/DB, covering issuance, trading, rating fixed-income products such bonds, government corporate provides basic information, net value, position, performance funds. experimental results show achieves F1 score 87.26%, 87.95%, Area under Curve (AUC) 91.20%, precision 89.29%, recall 87.48%. Recent studies in mice demonstrate that a subset of neurons the medial preoptic area (MPOA) express galanin play crucial roles regulating parental behavior both sexes. However, little information is available on function social behaviors other species. Here, we report that, medaka, MPOA occurred nearly exclusively males, resulting from testicular androgen stimulation. Galanin-deficient medaka showed greatly reduced incidence male–male aggressive chases. Furthermore, while treatment female with induced male-typical acts, deficiency these females attenuated effect Given their male-biased and androgen-dependent nature, most likely mediate Histological further suggested variability projection targets may account for species-dependent functional differences evolutionarily conserved neural substrates.
