The purpose study to confirm hypothesis. Materials methods: Clinical interview, based narrative-anamnestic documentary evidence basis Perrotta Human Emotions Model (PHEM) concerning their emotional perceptual-reactive experience, administration battery psychometric tests published in international scientific journals by author work: 1) Integrative Interviews (PICI-2), investigate functional dysfunctional personality traits; 2) Individual Sexual Matrix Questionnaire (PSM-Q), individual sexual matrix; 3) Affective Dependence (PAD-Q), profiles affective relational dependence; 4) Defense Mechanisms (PDM-Q), defence mechanisms Ego. Results: In population sample 108 subjects (98 males 10 females), totality found exhibit at least 5 traits manic, borderline, narcissistic covert, masochistic, dependent types, with secondary neurotic, bipolar, histrionic, paranoid types. Always shows marked dysfunctionality nature (especially profiles) activation defense typical psychopathological processes; particular, PSM-Q stated traumatic event an affective, sentimental or related adolescence adulthood has generated person distrust relationship. Conclusions: At origin cuckolding troilism, reasonable deduce there nature, occurring mainly youth early adulthood, which negatively impacted subject’s perception sphere. Such event, capable generating negative feelings distressing origin, then reworked sublimated subject using (the fear being betrayed replaced idea granting partner freedom, after sharing, sufficient avoid reoccurrence primary traumatizing event); repetition avoidant experiences danger phobia (betrayal) generates belief functioning mechanism, therefore repeated according cognitive-behavioural pattern positive reinforcement, establishing over time dependence underlies paraphiliac disorder. fear-prone pattern, moreover, could be same one favours polygamous choice (at expense monogamous choice), net environmental social conditioning (e.g., Islamic contexts) might naturally favour such choice. This mechanism reinforcement may underlie onset paraphilias deserves further investigation.
