Abstract Several clinical studies have evaluated the relationship between copper on colorectal cancer (CRC), but results are contradictory. This study aimed to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis investigate measured in two biological matrices (serum/plasma/blood tissue) dietary intake CRC patients compared healthy controls. We conducted comprehensive search PubMed, Scopus, Embase Web of Science. included that reported levels serum/plasma/blood, tissue or from diet, with observational design (cohort case-control studies). Study quality was assessed Newcastle-Ottawa scale potential causes heterogeneity were evaluated. Standardized mean differences (SMD) 95% confidence interval (CI) pooled using random-effect models. Overall Odds Ratio CI for risk calculated. Twenty-six (23 3 cohort studies) total 227,354 participants included. Most presented low (50%) moderate (42.3%).
