The relationship between smartphone use, interpersonal interaction, and friendship satisfaction (FS) remains underexplored in literature. present study addressed this gap by examining how smartphone-related behaviours, such as phubbing addiction (SPA), are associated with fear of missing out (FoMO), being phubbed (BP) FS. surveyed 811 university students explored the aforementioned relationships dual roles SPA a mediator BP moderator. findings showed that FoMO positively correlated phubbing, partial mediator, suggesting reducing could mitigate phubbing.
