The moderating role of narcissism on the impact of leader learning goal orientation on follower adaptivity through follower goal orientation: a social cognitive theory perspective

Drawing from social cognitive theory, we hypothesize that leader learning goal orientation is associated with follower orientation, which in turn adaptive performance. Additionally, investigate whether a dark-side personality characteristic – narcissism has the potential to disrupt leader-to-follower process. Our findings support our hypotheses such mediates effect of on performance, and diminishes indirect performance via orientation. Theoretical practical implications specific processes, narcissism, are discussed.
