Travel vlogs are inherently storytelling-centric videos. However, the ways in which travel vloggers can craft engaging stories and whether their storytelling effectively influences audiences’ decision-making have not been fully explored. To address this gap, research developed a scale for measuring using three-phase exploratory sequential design. In Study 1, key elements were identified through semi-structured, in-depth interviews with 38 audience members. This study examines how authenticity influences purchase decisions for cultural craft products resold outside their countries of origin, focusing on Mexican crafts sold in the U.S. market.
