To fast respond the volatile product demand in current fluctuant market environment, this paper centers on issue of production scheduling problems with DeJong's learning effect seru system (SPS). A rotating mixed-integer programming (MIP) model is constructed for minimizing makespan, and a hybrid heuristic algorithm designed accordingly, which advantages genetic simulated annealing are integrated. demonstrate effectiveness proposed MIP algorithm, numerical experiments made finally. Computational results presented analyzed, sensitivity analysis also to provide managerial insights SPS managers.

This paper investigates the production scheduling problems of allocating resources and sequencing jobs in seru system (SPS). As a new-type manufacturing mode arising from Japanese practices, can achieve efficiency, flexibility, responsiveness simultaneously. The environment which set must be scheduled over serus according to due date different execution modes is considered, combination optimization model provided. Motivated by problem complexity characteristics proposed model, nested partitioning method (NPM) designed as solution approach. Finally, computational studies are conducted, practicability proven. Moreover, efficiency demonstrated results obtained scenarios, good scalability approach proven via comparative analysis.

Abstract Seru production systems are an effective way to respond ever‐changing market demand. This article focuses on maximizing the throughput of rotating serus with nonpreemptive stations, where a worker's operations cannot be disrupted. We analyze effects unbalanced worker velocities non‐value‐added idle times. Through use dynamical system theories, we explicate mechanism and dynamics , identify rules used coordinate workers distribute work content among stations achieve highest throughput. These findings provide practical guidelines for managers in floor shops optimizing seru design Additionally, explore chaotic characteristics simulate effect various factors Finally, our comparative analysis demonstrates that offers viable alternative existing adapt fluctuating

As a flexible and effective production mode, seru has been adopted successfully in electronic industry. In practice, the processing time may be affected by many stochastic factors, such as worker absence, shortage of resources, so on. This paper focuses on scheduling problems with time, considers influence dynamic resource allocation, job deterioration, learning effecteffect, setup simultaneously to minimize makespan. A genetic-simulated annealing algorithm is proposed, which simulated procedure constructed re-optimize optimal individual obtained geneticthe genetic algorithm. Experiment results validate effectiveness proposedthe proposed model for solving large-scale cases, indicate that great makespan whichmakespan can help manager makeproduce more consistent according actual situation.
