Abstract Background: Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) interventions are effective in reducing subjective stress. Nevertheless, the longitudinal links between mental health indicators rarely studied intervention research. Therefore, it is unknown how effects sustained. Aim: The current study investigated mechanisms explaining sustained a sample of medical nurses who receive CBT-based internet-delivered stress recovery program. Method: A single-group design with three measurement points, pre-test, post-test, and 3-month follow-up, was used study. consisted assistant from Lithuania ( n =111, age: M SD ) = 41.69 years (10.85)) had participated 6-week CBT internet targeting recovery. Data were collected as randomised control trial, treatment samples combined, data analysed using cross-lagged panel analysis four variables representing psychological well-being symptoms stress, anxiety, depression. Results: results revealed that decreased anxiety increased at post-test predicted reduced levels follow-up. In addition, depression Conclusions: Decreased could explain sustainability following for nurses. implications this research practice discussed.

This study addressed whether lifetime stressor exposure was associated with psychophysiological reactivity and habituation to a novel laboratory-based stressor. Eighty-six participants ( M age = 23.31 years, SD 4.94) reported their non-sport sport-specific stressors before completing two consecutive trials of the Trier Social Stress Test, while cardiovascular (i.e., heart rate) endocrine salivary cortisol) data were recorded. Exposure moderate number adaptive reactivity, whereas very low or high related maladaptive reactivity. Moreover, experiencing (but not sport-specific) poorer habituation. In contrast, severity unrelated Finally, greater counts blunted cortisol These results suggest that may influence sport performers’ acute stress responses.

Abstract Background Older adults are vulnerable to depressive symptoms, with a global prevalence ranging from 28.4% 42.0%. This study aimed examine the effect of on relationship between perceived and symptoms among older in Chiclayo, Peru. Method A total 412 elderly patients three hospitals who completed an online survey participated. Results Using PLS-SEM approach, results showed that has direct positive (β=0.129***), while significantly mediated this (β=0.185***). Conclusion provides valuable evidence mechanisms underlying depression offers relevant guidance for development culturally adapted effective mental health interventions population group.

The Developmental Model Stress shows how psychosocial challenges in childhood create persistent negative beliefs behaviors increase threat perception maladaptive responses. These produce early psychological physiological predispositions for increased responses over time.
