Abstract Halide perovskites (HPs), emerging as a noteworthy class of semiconductors, hold great promise for an array optoelectronic applications, including anti‐counterfeiting, light‐emitting diodes (LEDs), solar cells (SCs), and photodetectors, primarily due to their large absorption cross section, high fluorescence efficiency, tunable emission spectrum within the visible region, tolerance lattice defects, well adaptability solution‐based fabrication processes. Unlike luminescent HPs with band‐edge emission, trivalent rare‐earth (RE) ions typically emit low‐energy light through intra‐4f optical transitions, characterized by narrow spectra long lifetimes. When fused, cooperative interactions between REs endow resulting binary composites not only properties inherited from parent materials but also introduce new attributes unattainable either component alone. This review begins fundamental characteristics REs, followed particular focus on impact electronic structures associated energy transfer The advanced synthesis methods utilized prepare HPs, RE‐doped compounds, are overviewed. Furthermore, potential applications summarized across diverse domains, high‐fidelity anticounterfeiting, bioimaging, LEDs, photovoltaics, photodetection, photocatalysis, conclude remaining challenges future research prospects.

Abstract The sensitization of lanthanide ions by semiconductor nanocrystals offers promising potential for developing luminophores with high quantum yields, light harvesting and imaging applications. This study introduces lanthanide‐doped CdS fabricated through a phosphine‐free method. Lanthanide such as Yb 3+ , Tm Ho Er are successfully doped into the matrix, resulting in tunable NIR emissions ranging from 950 to 1600 nm. These exhibit visible–NIR emission total photoluminescence yield ≈41 ± 3%. Steady‐state time‐resolved spectroscopic studies confirm broadband host. Binary ions‐doped (CdS:Yb /Ho /Tm ) demonstrate both upconversion downshifting processes within single system. Furthermore, is enhanced under excitation compared direct sensitization. Time‐resolved transient absorption reveal efficient energy transfer dopants. Additionally, CdS:Ln embedded polymethyl methacrylate nanocomposites remains highly stable even months after fabrication, making them suitable night vision security encryption. study, therefore, advances development smart visible‐to‐NIR sources optoelectronic applications, including anti‐counterfeiting measures imaging.

Abstract Multifunctional optical materials with temperature sensing and anti‐counterfeiting properties play an essential role in the commercial applications. Herein, Mn 2+ /Nd 3+ co‐doped Cs 2 AgInCl 6 (CAIC) lead‐free double perovskites (DPs) is synthesized through a hydrothermal method, which exhibits visible to near‐infrared (NIR) luminescence reversible photochromic from yellowish dark purple. The mechanism investigations on photoluminescence phenomena reveal that incorporation of ions not only acts as intermediary energy transfer process host exciton Nd ions, but also plays pivotal response. temperature‐dependent luminescence, attributed contrasting thermal responses enables precise via fluorescence intensity ratio method. In addition, integration red emission, NIR single CAIC: DPs, offers multilevel strategy. multifunctional DPs would open up new avenues for advanced applications, particularly realms security anti‐counterfeiting.

Metal halide double perovskites with splendid optical features have been considerably investigated for optoelectronic applications. Herein, a series of Mn2+-doped Cs2NaLuCl6 perovskite crystals were prepared. Via adopting the density functional theory calculation, effect Mn2+ doping on electronic structure compound was discussed. It found that crystal can emit intense blue light from host self-trapped exciton (STE) emission. Excited by 320 nm, STE and emissions simultaneously observed in resulting crystals. Owing to efficient energy transfer Mn2+, polychromatic luminescence final products. Moreover, taking advantage various responses emission intensities temperature, thermometric characteristics investigated, their maximum relative sensitivity is 0.99% K-1, which hardly impacted content. Furthermore, prepared exhibit good X-ray radioluminescence properties, low detection limitation 0.99 μGyair s-1. Additionally, utilizing designed crystal, flexible imaging high resolution 20 lp mm-1 be operated high-temperature environment realized. These results indicated are suitable thermometry imaging.
