Simultaneous detection of C-reactive protein (CRP) and procalcitonin (PCT) at the point care is crucial for management infections in patients with inflammation critical settings. The challenge detecting high concentrations CRP alongside low PCT plasma from inflammatory has limited clinical application multiplexed immunoassays. Herein, we developed a lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) that employs quantum dot nanobeads (QDNBs) varying sizes colors to enable simultaneous quantification human plasma. To extend dynamic range detection, combined QDNBs smaller particle antibodies, thereby increasing assay's reducing hook effect. At same time, stronger fluorescence emitted by these larger QDNBs, conjugation allows nanogram level, meeting demand sensitivity. results show this method can detect 0.1 3 mg/L limit 0.09 ng/mL, which on par clinically used methods. By employing dual-color dual-size QDNB labeling strategy, successfully achieved broad sensitivity one-step point-of-care rapid test.

The surge of lateral flow immunoassays (LFAs) stimulates researchers to explore the novel vibrant aggregation-induced emission luminogen (AIEgen)-doped nanoparticles improve accuracy and reliability LFAs. However, loading amount AIEgens currently used for LFA in microspheres is limited due their symmetrical large conjugated skeleton structure, which significantly reduces fluorescence brightness signal reporter LFA. Herein, an ionic with a donor–acceptor type was developed as C-reactive protein (CRP). Ionic are unable enter hydrophobic cavity polystyrene (PS) because low nature. By altering extended alkyl chains, it possible increase hydrophobicity, thereby potentially increasing capacity within PS. Notably, fluorescent (denoted AIETPANPs) formed by embedding (E)-4-(4-(diphenylamino)styryl)-1-octadecylpyridin-1-ium iodide (TPA) PS showed orange-red have high quantum yield. Anti-CRP antibody (mAb1) could be effectively surface AIETPANPs amino-carboxyl reaction, resulting AIETPANPs-mAb1. AIETPANPs-mAb1 exhibited at 613 nm, point detectable naked eye minimal background interference. entire analysis accomplished just 10 min, achieving limit detection 4.06 ng/mL CRP. AIETPANPs-mAb1-based demonstrates excellent stability specificity fully meets requirements clinical diagnosis.
