Inflammation is an important biological response to any tissue injury. The immune system responds stimulus, such as irritation, damage, or infection, by releasing pro-inflammatory cytokines. overproduction of cytokines can lead several diseases, e.g., cardiovascular joint disorders, cancer, and allergies. Emerging science suggests that whole grains may lower the markers inflammation. Whole are a significant source dietary fiber phenolic acids, which have inverse association with risk Both cereals pseudo-cereals rich in fiber, arabinoxylan β-glucan, hydroxycinnamic acids hydroxybenzoic predominantly present bran layer. However, mechanisms underlying widely reported between grain consumption disease not fully understood. modulatory effects on inflammation likely be influenced including effect acids. While some these direct, others involve gut microbiota, transforms bioactive substances into more beneficial metabolites modulate inflammatory signaling pathways. Therefore, purpose this review twofold: first, it discusses highlights their potential; second, examines health benefits components impacts subclinical markers, role microbiota. Overall, while there promising evidence for anti-inflammatory properties grains, further research needed understand fully.

Abstract Background Lead (Pb) is a heavy metal with extreme toxicity and numerous industrial uses. It produces nephrotoxicity notable changes in renal architecture function. The Alhagi maurorum (AM) belongs to the family Fabaceae native Middle East area. In present study, potential nephroprotective effects of AM Pb-intoxicated rats were evaluated. Results methanolic extract was standardized reference its main phenolic compounds orientin, rutin, quercetin. Acute oral studies indicated that safe for animals. Rats allocated into five groups treated 28 days as follows: control, (200 mg/kg, orally), Pb (15 + (100 mg/kg), mg/kg). administration markedly increased serum cystatin C, urea, creatinine levels, urinary NAG. also caused histopathological alterations. However, o-treatment ameliorated such pathological changes. addition, treatment prevented Pb-induced accumulation malondialdehyde (MDA), attenuated glutathione (GSH) depletion, catalase (CAT) superoxide dismutase (SOD) exhaustion. guarded against enhanced protein expression interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB). Further, significantly upregulation mRNA levels Bax downregulation Bcl-2. These associated heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) factor erythroid 2-related 2 (Nrf2) tissue. Conclusion guards involve, at least partly, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic activities well modulation HO-1 Nrf2 expression.

Abstract Aim Testicular torsion, which occurs when the testicle rotates around axis of spermatic cord, is a serious cause hospital admission, mostly in newborns and children, but also adults. Oxidative stress an important mediator development complications. Morin has anti-inflammatory, anti-autophagic, anti-apoptotic activities especially strong antioxidant activity. This study aimed to determine effects on testicular torsion injury. Methods 35 Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups (n = 7): Control, Morin, I/R, I/R + MRN50, MRN100. Parameters are effective oxidative stress, inflammation, endoplasmic reticulum apoptosis, autophagy damage Wnt pathway parameters, KI-67, 3-NT levels analyzed by biochemical, molecular, histological methods. Results injury significantly increased (MDA, p < 0.001) reduced activity (GSH, SOD, CAT, GPx; 0.001). MRN administration reversed these effects, with higher doses showing greater improvement (p 0.01 for 0.001 others). Inflammation markers (NF-kB, IL-1β, TNF-α, COX-2, iNOS) elevated group, their expression mitigated ER reactivated signaling pathway, particularly at 100 mg/kg Additionally, apoptosis (Caspase-3, Bax, (Beclin-1, LC3A, LC3B, 0.001), improved histology sperm parameters. treatment restored density, motility, viability 0.05), proving more effective. Conclusion properties inhibiting many pathways activating protective mechanisms.
