Hepatitis C virus is a major health problem because of its effect on the liver and being life-threatening if not treated early. It also affects blood parameters those infected. The current study conducted in Thi-Qar province revealed changes some infected group compared to control group, where slight decrease was recorded WBCs, RBCs, PCV, MCV, MCH, PLT, Lymp. but no significant differences were found, except for red cells, which 0.03 at level 0.05. found that highest infection rate age 30-39 years, while 50-59 years. Highlights: impacts alters parameters. Significant RBC change noted; 30–39 group. No infections 50–59 recorded. Keywords: HCV, Hematological, ELISA,

Background and Objectives: The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) does not currently recommend routine screening for kidney cancer, even though approximately 14 390 people are expected to die from this disease in the United States 2024. Individualized risk-based cancer offers potential effectively detect at an early stage avoid unnecessarily rest of population who low risk. This study proposes electronic health records (EHR) risk evaluation by examining a comprehensive set medical history including diagnoses, comorbidities, viruses, rare diseases. Methods: relevant predicting occurrence was identified analysis All Us data three steps. First, Systematized Nomenclature Medicine (SNOMED) code binary indicator variable EHR presence cancer. Second, relationship between all prior conditions examined using Strong Rule Feature Elimination Least Absolute Shrinkage Selection Operator logistic regression methods selection. Third, accuracy model reported cross-validated McFadden’s R 2 Area under Receiver Operating Characteristic curve (AROC) values. Results: 133 out initial 25 683 clinical diagnoses (represented SNOMED codes) that were predictive achieved 0.195 AROC 0.799. Most codes consistent with known factors Conclusions: It is possible accurately predict method. Additional studies establish high-dimensional needed see if personalized prediction can lead cost-effective eventually better outcomes.

Monocytes and macrophages are part of innate immunity constitute the first line defense against pathogens. Bone marrow-derived monocytes circulate in bloodstream for one to three days then typically migrate into tissues, where they differentiate macrophages. Circulatory represent 5% nucleated cells normal adult blood. Following differentiation, distributed various tissues organs take residence maintain body homeostasis. Emerging evidence has highlighted critical role monocytes/macrophages oncogenic viral infections, mainly their crucial functions persistence disease progression. These findings open opportunities target context viruses explore potential as immunotherapies.
