Per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFASs) are a group of anthropogenic chemicals used in range industrial processes consumer products. Recently, their ubiquitous presence the environment as well toxicological effects humans have gained relevant attention. Although occurrence PFASs is widely investigated scientific community, standardization analytical method for all matrices still remains an important issue. In this review, we discussed extraction detection methods depth to evaluate best procedures PFAS identification terms parameters (e.g., limits (LODs), quantification (LOQs), recoveries). Extraction approaches based on liquid–liquid (LLE), alkaline digestion, solid phase (SPE), followed by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) gas (GC-MS) analysis main applied literature. The results showed detectable recoveries PFOA PFOS meat, milk, vegetables, eggs products (90.6–101.2% 89.2–98.4%), fish (96–108%). Furthermore, low LOD LOQ values obtained meat (0.00592–0.01907 ng g−1; 0.050 g−1), milk (0.003–0.009 0.010–0.027 fruit (0.002–0.009 0.006–0.024 (0.00369–0.017.33 0.05 g−1) also confirmed effectiveness recent quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, safe (QuEChERS) simple, speedy, sensitive ultra-trace analysis.

In Ethiopia, using pesticides to manage pests in the growing of fruits and vegetables is a standard practice. Various classes have been approved combat pests, but majority those use now are outdated broad-spectrum insecticides with significant residual effects on crops freshly eaten vegetables. This review reveals that Ethiopia’s assessment pesticide level has lacking. According reviewed literature, often treated many countries levels. However, Ethiopia not adequately reported this issue. Furthermore, due lack knowledge regarding impact residues human health, Ethiopians frequently improperly control The consumers eat their unprocessed, without washing or cooking them first. To reduce risk for consumer safety battle health toxic chemicals humans, monitoring raising awareness about adverse humans urgently needed. Before they may be registered sold, as well environment must also undergo proper testing evaluation. New generations fewer side developed. By washing, peeling, canning, boiling before consumption, detrimental can minimized.

Processing methods affect the quality and, most importantly, safety of meat. The effects various marinades, a kind green processing technology commonly used in Poland, on PAH contamination pork neck loins, frequently grilled meat, were investigated, including universal, pork, and honey mustard, as well popular grilling tools. It is important to note that no such data have been published so far. Our previous study focused poultry another analysis was conducted using QuEChERS–HPLC–FLD/DAD method confirmed by GC/MS method. Weight loss changes individual color parameters after also analyzed. Grilling charcoal grill without an aluminum tray caused statistically greatest contents. Some these samples, according Commission Regulation (EU) No. 915/2023 restrictions, should not be consumed humans due high content B[a]P (5.26–6.51 µg/kg). lowest levels overall determined for ceramic contact grill. Studies shown universal marinades can reduce about 24–29% 4 heavy PAHs 31–32% 15 PAHs, whereas mustard marinade increases their accumulation products 13% 12% PAHs. Carefully choosing equipment, electric grills instead or trays when with marinating meat before grilling, essential food producers consumers. These practices significantly harmful health making them vital steps toward safer preparation.

These days, a growing consumer demand and scientific interest can be observed for nutraceuticals of natural origin, including apiculture products. Due to the emphasis on environmental protection, extensive research has been conducted pesticide heavy metal contamination bee products; however, less attention is devoted other food safety aspects. In our review, information less-researched hazards honey, bread, royal jelly, propolis, beeswax are summarized. Bee products originating from certain plants may inherently contain phytotoxins, like pyrrolizidine alkaloids, tropane matrine grayanotoxins, gelsemium or tutin. Several case studies evidence that induce allergic responses sensitive individuals, varying mild severe symptoms, potentially lethal anaphylaxis. Exposure high temperature long storage lead formation toxic 5-hydroxymethylfurfural. Persistent organic pollutants, radionuclides, microplastics transferred contaminated sources. And lastly, inappropriate beekeeping practices with harmful microorganisms mycotoxins. Our review demonstrates necessity applying good in order protect honeybees consumers their An important aim work identify key knowledge gaps regarding
