Neonicotinoids,
sometimes
abbreviated
as
neonics,
represent
a
class
of
neuro-active
insecticides
with
chemical
similarities
to
nicotine.
Neonicotinoids
are
the
most
widely
adopted
group
globally
since
their
discovery
in
late
1980s.
Their
physiochemical
properties
surpass
those
previously
established
insecticides,
contributing
popularity
various
sectors
such
agriculture
and
wood
treatment.
The
environmental
impact
neonicotinoids,
often
overlooked,
underscores
urgency

for

understanding
behavior.
Conventional
methods

have
limitations.
Chromatographic
techniques

Globally,

tons

pesticides
are
used
every
year,
and
many
farmers
use
in
violation
the
recommendations,
which
may
lead
to
adverse
health
effects.

study

knowledge

handling

pesticides.

semi-structured

Colletotrichum
genus
is
one
of
the
ten
most
relevant
pathogenic
fungi
in
post-harvest
sector
owing
to
its
high
infection
rate
tropical
fruits;
however,
search
for
alternatives
synthetic
fungicides
crucial
because
their
adverse
effects
on
health
and
environment.
This
study
evaluated
efficacy
chitosan
(CH),
citral
(CT),
hexanal
(HX)
against
asianum,
as
well
toxicological
potential
these
treatments.
In
vitro
tests,
1.0%
CH,
0.03%
CT,
0.06%
HX
significantly
inhibited
fungal
development
parameters
radial
growth,
sporulation,
biomass,
germination
by
78–100%
(p

0.05).
Furthermore,
toxicity

low
moderate
concentrations
using
cucumber
tomato
seed
a
model.
Toxicokinetic
predictions
suggest
that
molecules
do
not
pose
danger
human
consumption,
