Sof Umer Cave is an unexplored extreme environment that hosts novel microbes and potential genetic resources. Microbiomes from caves have been genetically adapted to produce various bioactive metabolites, allowing them survive tolerate harsh conditions. However, the biosynthesis-related gene cluster signatures in microbiomes of not explored. Therefore, high-throughput shotgun sequencing was used explore clusters (BGCs) Cave. The GeneAll DNA Soil Mini Kit extract high-molecular-weight homogenized samples, purified sequenced using a NovaSeq PE150. According Micro-RN database, most common microbial genera are Protobacteria, Actinobacteria, Verrucomicrobiota, Cyanobacteria. were annotated classified, BGCs predicted antiSMASH NAPDOS1. A total 460 putative regions encoding wide range secondary metabolites identified, including RiPP (47.82%), terpene (19.57%), NRPS (13.04%), hybrid (2.18%), other newly (10.87%) compounds. Additionally, NAPDOS pipeline identified calcium-dependent antibiotic Streptomyces coelicolor, actinomycin chrysomallus, bleomycin verticillus. These findings highlight untapped biosynthetic microbiome, as well its for discovery natural products.

Introduction Limited information exists regarding the microbiome composition of yak calves varying weights. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate microbiomes mother-calf pairs with different weight profiles. Methods Fecal and blood samples were collected from both lower-weight (CB) higher-weight (HB) calves, along their corresponding female yaks (CA, HA). Results The results revealed significantly higher levels T-AOC (total antioxidant capacity) GSH-Px (glutathione peroxidase) in HB animals ( p < 0.001). Sequencing yielded 652,181 643,369 filtered reads calf yaks, respectively. Alpha diversity analysis indicated that Chao1, Faith_pd, Observed species CA compared HA 0.01). Furthermore, nine genera notably between including Avispirillum, Fimenecus, CAG-1031, Odoribacter 865974, Jeotgalicoccus A 310962. Compared CB exhibited significant differences one phylum six genera, CAG-485 0.05), CAG-83 0.01), Copromorpha Phocaeicola 858004 UBA2253 0.05). Conclusion In summary, demonstrated increased oxidative resistance, profiles linked calves. These findings offer valuable insights for optimizing breeding practices high-altitude regions.
