The present study documents the wild edible plants commonly used by Bhil and Bhilala tribes in Western Madhya Pradesh, India. Through ethnobotanical field research, traditional knowledge of these regarding was assessed using semi-structured questionnaires participatory rural appraisal approach. Quantitative indices, including Cultural Importance index (CI), Preference ranking, Fidelity level (FL), were employed to analyze data. identified 109 plant species from 93 genera 54 families, with trees herbs (40 each) being most used, followed climbers (17) shrubs (12). Forty-six had a fidelity 100%, while CI values ranged 0.18 0.78. Among species, 62 (56.88%) significant market value, contributing income generation for local communities. consumption edibles plays crucial role diet, especially during food scarcity periods. However, increased exploitation certain poses threat biodiversity. highlights need sustainable harvesting ensure their conservation continued contribution diets income.

The present study aims to document and analyze information related significant ethnomedicinal plants in rural communities of Northeastern Madhya Pradesh, India. Data collection involved the use open-ended semi-structured questionnaires gather on plant usage, including specific plants, applications, traditional healing practices. Quantitative indices such as Relative frequency citation (RFC), Use value (UV), Family (FUV), Informant consensus factor (ICF), Jaccard's coefficient similarity (JCS) were employed quantify gathered information. A total 201 medicinal belonging 170 genera 76 families, recorded for treating various diseases, with trees (43%), herbs (33%), climbers (13%) being predominantly used. Plants Hedychium coronarium Cordia macleodii exhibited high RFC UV, particularly eye blood pressure problems. Vanda tessellata showed a informant ear-related Positive correlations found between UV (0.631) FUV (0.159). highlights prevalence practices using area.
