Purpose Leadership’s dark side has been on the rise, negatively affecting organizations. The phenomenon, however, is not as simple it seems. Based social exchange and conservation of resource theories, current research aims to explore impact psychological entitlement despotic leadership, ultimately leading instigated workplace incivility. Moreover, emotional exhaustion was tested a mediator Islamic work ethics moderator. Design/methodology/approach This study examine effect leadership for this, survey approach used collect data from 402 bankers Pakistan’s twin cities (Islamabad Rawalpindi).
